Im curious to know what the flow difference is between these CAD designed twin pipe downpipes vs Iroz single pipe and which design is better?

They both split for driveshaft clearance. The difference is the Iroz DP/MP has the split in the midpipe portion, while this and others like APR split up close to the turbo in the DP because they are designed to work with factory style midpipes. I'm not sure there would be much of a difference in performance between them considering they both at one point do split. Probably marginal, if anything.

I feel like the location of the Y would affect sound more than anything else.

I plan on getting rid of the Y and adding in section to the factory exhaust, which is why I was curious, I'd modify the mid pipes to be one pipe. But I was curious to know if someone has done flow testing at the downpipe since some people are running dump pipes and if that affected it.

Very curious about this, which configuration would make the exhaust have a higher pitch?

    Think BMW M5 5.0L V10

I believe Milltek makes a catted DP but looks like the mid-pipe section is catted.

I got a notification that it was a new part. Maybe they had one for a different car?

You can config this one to be hi flow cat enabled. 100 or 200 cell versions.

Bull-X (Hg-motorsports) can make one, and use an HJS cat you prefer (on DP or single/dual on midpipes). Good people. Not expensive or cheap. Here is a good guy who can assist.

Do you mean HG Motorsport (not HE)? If so, they are the company that makes the Bull-X exhaust...Bull-X is just the model name, not the brand. HG is the manufacturer.

Yes it was an autocorrect by my phone. Link is to hg's site. Good to know, I thought bullx was the company.

Also I was wrong. The link I posted appears to be a different product. Looks like they do make a 2017+ version.

There would be no good reason to get a downpipe without tuning. If you want sound, just get unitronic midpipes and save hundreds.
