Key Fob won't stay programmed (Keyless Entry)

So, I've had problem with my keyless entry not working lately.

I will program it and it will work one time and then it stops working. Here is the only code I can find.
    00955 - Key 1
    00955 - Key 1: Adaptation Limit Surpassed
    Possible Symptoms
    Key/Remote Control not operational
    Possible Causes
    Key/Remote Control not matched
Key/Remote Control operated too often while Out of Range
    Possible Solutions
See vehicle specific page for synchronisation/adaptation procedures

Could it be the control module going bad? My buddy at audi said it recognizes it, but not doing anything.

    Thanks

So, when I was using my scan tool to try and reprogrammed, I erased the remote. How do I fix this?

The code I posted above it gone, because when I go in with my scan tool, it shows no key programmed.

yeah no key programmed is not good that is for sure ...

the key operated too often while out of range is interesting

wonder if a flakey switch in the key could cause this , then the car invalidates it.
Not to sure about this one.

It works for everything else, just not keyless entry. I got it working last night, but it only worked once and then I had to do it all over again.

When I went back in (scanner), I like I erased remote and now it won't let me reprogram.

You can program your FOB with only one key. You need to remove the lock cylinder from the drivers door, but working key in ignition and use a screw driver to operate door lock. its tricky to do with one person, but it is possible. I reprogrammed 2 FOB's this way, just had to swap the immobilizer out of the old FOB. There is a DIY that I followed to do this, but I can't remember if it was on AZ or YouTube
