    Integrated Engineering vs Unitronic

So I have had my car tuned with Unitronic Stage 1+ and their stage 2 tcu tune for about 8 months. I just switched over to IE Dual Pulley but I am waiting on them to have the pulleys back in stock. So I decided to just flash to stage 1 with their tcu tune as well to compare it to Unitronic. Straight forward and took about 15 minutes altogether to finish. I have had IE on for about 3 days an I am loving it so far! It definitely has more throttle response and seems to hold gears longer which I like about it. On IE flash software you have soooo many options for the launch control whilst tuning your tcu. They have just from what I remember 2600 rpm lc, 3200(maybe) lc, 3600 lc, and a 4k lc. I have been using 3600 lc but I think I will put it to 2600 and see how that is today. PATIENTLY waiting for their 2 step lc Unitronic only offered (at least just me) a 4k lc on their tcu tune. IE also just doesn't have more options for lc but their shift point is 7200rpm while Unitronics was 6800rpm or 7k rpm. Overall I seem to like IE better at this time due to all of the options they have in their flashing software and also because of the better throttle response and it feels like the shifts are more crisp if that makes sense. However, they do have a credit system implemented into it. You have to purchase the tunes inside the flashing software, from what I believe your account or cable comes with the necessary credits to flash to the tune you purchased from them. I purchased DP from them but since they don't have the pulleys in stock I used most of my credits flashing to Stage 1 and the tcu. I am not sure how much credits I have left but I think I will definitely need to purchase some more to flash to Single pulley then to the DP file (not the most cost effective way but I am trying to see what it is like on each stage they offer). I was told that 1 credit = $1 and that "once a tune is purchased they link the credits (dollars) you paid for the tune onto your account." A HUGE + for me is support, I love to ask questions as most of you know <3 but IE has incredible support. I emailed them a couple questions yesterday and Thursday, I received answers back from them within 10 minutes for both days! For anyone stuck on pulling the trigger on tuning to stage 1 at least, I would highly suggest looking towards IE.

    Awesome.

    If you will log:
    Ignition angle
    Bypass
    Calculated maf

Those will give an idea of power. You could probably log throttle plate vs accelerator position to look at how each are mapping the throttle to give that feeling of increased throttle response. Not that important but something to look at

Also afr or lambda will be very cool to see how each tuner decide is their preference.
