    Hi all,

What kind of deals are people getting on the B9 RS5? Any good discounts?

I've heard typically MSRP or 2-3% below if you're lucky when they first came out. Dealers might be more willing to deal now if they have had one on the lot for a while now. One of my local dealers has one that's been sitting on the lot for a few months now in silver though the prices on their website hasn't gone down any from what I can tell.

As far as I can tell, it's pretty much MSRP for everyone. Even the dealership employees aren't getting anything from what I've heard. All I managed to get was Audi Care thrown in...
2019 RS5 SB - Navarra Blue, Alu Optic Carbon, Dynamic package, Driver assistance, B&O, 5-arm-peak wheels.
    2019 Q5 - Florett Silver, Prestige
2013 RS5 - Sepang Blue, Alu-Optic, Black Alcantara, Nav, Sports Exhaust
2012 S4 - Monsoon Gray, Prestige package, S-Tronic, Sports Diff
    2007 RS4 - Mugello Blue
    2000 S4 - Santorin Blue

I'm expecting that I'll be paying MSRP for my 2019 RS5 SB that's on order with the hope that the dealer will throw in Audi Care and Wheel Protection for free.

Eeeek. I guess everyone has to pay through the initial hype phase.

I was probably speaking to 10 different dealers around the country. There are deals to be had, you just have to negotiate and play the waiting game. There are still a ton of 2018s available that dealers need to move.

Disregard the $1,000 Audi Loyalty Rebate, that was only available if I financed thru Audi. I got a better interest rate with my own bank so the $1,000 wasn't worth it for me.

ap610 has to be talking about the Coupe because the Sportback isn't here yet and is only a 2019+ model. I was referring to the 2019 RS5 SB in my initial response, but didn't make that very clear.

Gotcha. For Sportback complaining about discount is a bit silly but for the coupe it’s another story IMO.

These cars lease terrible. So does the S5. I will be leaving Audi when my lease is up. Their prices are way to expensive for the product they give you.

    Terrible compared to what?

I remember the days when a loaded M3 with zero down 15k miles could be had for around 900 +/-, but now those prices are creeping up. MB doesn’t lease well either, at least not the the C63/C63s.

I agree, the RS5 does not lease well, but there aren’t many options for cheap leases in this category.

    I had a m3 2011 competition. I was tax down 950 a month.
    My 2014 RS5 was tax down 979
    2018 RS5 dealer told me tax + 8k down
1300. Told them to keep it. It’s a 1k to 1050 a month car. It’s over priced for what it is. You can get a GTR for 1300 a month with 10k down here in ny.

I saw a 2018 Audi RS 5 quattro Coupe AWD listed on carguru for the Boston area asking - $75,698

    https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/invent...ting=225052892

It is tempting as I currently have an 18 C63s and want to move into something AWD

I just purchased a 2018 RS5. Car sticked over $88K and I got $4K off, plus favorable $s on my trade. I assume they wanted to move it to make room for 2019s.

Quick question: do the winter mats have an RS5 logo on them, or are they generic A5/S5 mats ? I had asked my dealer if there were any RS5 winter mats and I didn't get a good answer.

Secondly - don't all the new Audi's have the Audi rings or Audi Sport puddle lights ?

The RS5 just doesn't lease very well. I've been told this is due to the fact the many people who lease these mod them and dealers don't like that and would rather sell them. I honestly don't think the car is overpriced for what it is. It's priced very comparative to all of its competitors.

My winter mats say RS5 and I also thought the Audi Sport lights were standard.

Audi doesnt lease well in general and never will..they always have very low residual values on their leases..they want their cars to be purchased and not leased like BMWs and Mercs.

Mine have the RS5 logo on them.

I think all the RS cars will say Audi Sport. The A5 sportback I got as a loaner with the first oil leak had the rings for puddle lights. The second loaner that I'm currently driving is an A5 coupe and it just has plain LEDs...no projected image.

Yes the mats have the red RS5 logo on them, also about the lights the Audi Sport lights are standard, the Audi rings are a $400 dealer installed option.

I have Audi winter mats, they do have the RS5 logo. I actually have 2 sets, 1 that is unused in the box. I ordered from a dealer and they said they were out of stock so I canceled and ordered from another dealer. A week later both orders showed up. I’m going to sell the extra set. My car came with Audi Sport puddle lights.

I might be interested in buying them if you want to sell them, assuming they fit the RS5 SB... What's the part number ? I just found this part # (8W8061221041) on Audi's website that says they fits the RS5 SB.

Hi Tony, I will probably trade in my car if they give me a reasonable value. I just got an estimate of 3/26 for port arrival in Houston so I'm still 4 months away from getting the car and have plenty of time to figure it out still.

yep thats plenty of time still..

I am so unsure about the RS5 SB still.. the things I dont like is the V6, the interior(mainly because of the attached screen) and the B&O system .. this sytem is just so weak in general compared to the one I have in my S7..my colleague at work has it in his A5 SB and already changed 2 front door speakers which blew out at 2000mi and now have his drivers door one bad again.. I want to be back again into the RS but not sure about this one yet..

It's not the low residuals that make these cars expensive to lease, rather the the high money factors and lack of factory incentives. Audi, BMW and Mercedes' all tend to have similar residuals more or less. Porsches tend to have relatively high residuals, but also high money factors and virtually zero factory incentives and minimal dealer discounts which make them very expensive to lease. Usually I find it that BMW dealers are much more willing to discount their cars after incentives than Audi, Mercedes or Porsche dealers. Recently BMW has cut back on incentives and raised their money factors comparable to the others, so unless a dealer is willing to offer large discounts, gone are the days of $800 zero money down M4 leases.

And I think virtually every volume automaker would prefer their cars be leased than purchased, especially Audi. When you bring the car back, it's an opportunity for them to inventory a CPO car and sell you a new one. There's a reason lease pull ahead programs are marketed so aggressively.

I’ve had a dealer told me he got in 2 cars. They sat forever. Had to sell them both at discount.
Gonna be even worse for 19 models. Nobody wants the coupes. People that do find the car over priced. A few will buy the sportbacks then there will still be plenty left over.
I’m willing but I want a really good deal.
For the money they asking to lease I can get much more for my money else where.

They are over priced. I looked on car gurus and set it on nation wide and couldn’t believe the amount out on the lots.

Yep. My dealer just thinks I’m stupid. I’ve had 3 dealers tell me car is not selling. I thought I had one but they could eat my lease payments left. My dealer had it for me. But not willing to spend 1300 a month. 1k-1050 max. That’s it.

I agree for a lease that’s the top I’d go for that car. Dealers better wise up or they’ll end up giving the cars away at the end.

This thread is comedy. Between the people talking about the B9 RS5 being overpriced, a direct competitor to the M4 and C63 and expecting $1K monthly payments. It's an $80-$90K vehicle, varying with options. Either the mental math in this forum is severely off, or your financial expectations are incongruent with reality. I recently owned a 2018 BMW M4 CP and the payments on it were in direct line with the B9 RS5. So to think that it is overpriced is non-sense. If you want a sub-$1K payment with similar specifications, then look at an Infiniti Q60S RS400. My wife and I have one on lease for just under $700/month. There were quite a few aggressive dealer discounts and factory rebates on the vehicle when we purchased it 1.5 years ago.

If you want to know why there are RS5s sitting in the lot, then research the market and the dealership's R/RS sales history. It all has to do with regional markets, not discounts, as you would be hard-pressed to get a discount on a B9 RS5. Also, depending on the regional market, not every customer is willing to take on a $1200+/month payment with notoriously bad residual value. Vehicles like the RS5, M4 and C63 are not wise choices for limiting depreciation. They are meant to be driven and experienced, nothing more. I purchased my 2018 Audi RS5 from Audi North Orlando in early September, one of the leading R/RS retailers in the country, and they sell these cars consistently without discounts, due to the regional market. They do not keep RS5s for very long. In fact, just in the past month alone they have sold two RS5s. I know this because I visited the dealership twice in the past month for "upgrade work" on my car and at each visit, there was a different RS5 in the showroom. I confirmed that both were sold with my own salesperson. So that accounts for at least 3 in the last 3 months.

My point is, if you want a new B9 RS5, a new vehicle platform that has only been on our side of the planet approximately one year, then be ready to open your wallet. Otherwise, wait for a pre-owned.

I'd have to agree. Audi North Orlando wasn't willing to discount the RS5 at all when I was speaking with them. The salesman pretty much said they could sell the same car at sticker to a local buyer in Orlando. No big deal, I just continued my search. I found a car in Alabama and I got $8k off sticker. Granted, it started leaking oil the day after I bought it...but what are the chances of that actually happening?

I am a realist who knows that you "can't drink champagne on a beer budget". Based on your "troll" posts to my threads, you clearly have an issue with people who have succeeded in life. Enjoy reveling in your personal hate "sent from your iPhone using Tapatalk".

Thank God for people with common sense. It is a matter of, "why would a dealership sell a limited production vehicle at a discount, knowing it will eventually sell at sticker?" Markets vary greatly as you have evidenced by your $8K discount. Good on you for finding a dealership willing to do so. But I truly find it comical when people expect unrealistic valuation for a product simply because it is out of their budget. I hope your oil issue was taken care of!

I agree with you Teknika. This car is not overpriced. They don't lease well for many of the reasons that have already been listed. Sounds like guys are looking for cars that are out of their budget and hoping a discount would put it within reach. I'm in Houston and I've seen two RS5's being sold at two different dealerships when I visited a few months ago. The way I know they were sold was one of the dealers only had one RS5 in stock and it was waiting to be picked up by the owner in the back of the dealership. My rep was nice enough to let me look at it. At the other dealership the gentleman purchasing the RS5 was finalizing paperwork with the salesperson next to me and we talked about how nice to vehicle was. These vehicles were both listed above $90k and my rep said both were sold at MSRP.

my m4 was $799/month on a lease with only 1st month payment oop 36 months 12k per year. I contacted 30+ dealers until one bit - granted this was 2 1/2 years ago - the rs5 isn't overpriced IMO, just audi incentives and residuals stink compared to others. for $1500/month I can have an amg gts
