Well it took a while to get all the parts but it’s all
    Done and
    Works great!!!

Found some great guys along the way and had amazing prices for the parts. And want to thank them.

Modernizes up the interior nicely and now waiting on the WiFi chip so that the start button can be used instead of the key!!!! Hopefully it will be ready soon!!!

The wheel works great with the aftermarket stereo with the voice button working SIRI and apple car play makes it so worth it! Love love love it!!!

Next up is adding the keyless push button and keyless entry! More to come!

    DETAILS?!?!?!?

Direct fit? What buttons actually work? I thought mk3 used a single stage and mk2 used a dual stage?

Been contemplating doing this for a long time. Great job!

After talking with my lawyer and his thoughts regarding this mod I’m going to just relay the information that you guys can use to acquire the parts. Luca is located in Italy and has a business where his experience can assist you in wiring up your vehicle.

It’s fairly simple and not that big of an undertaking.

    (DISCLAIMER)
Due to the nature of This mod and your safety it should be done at your own risk and I cannot be held responsible in any unintended outcome were to transpire.

If you want the wheel please contact Karol @

    [email protected].

Best deal on the steering wheels I could find, hundreds less than on eBay and a great selection of wheels, the less optioned wheels are much cheaper as well.

Say christian sent you and Karol will hook you up !

For the dongle to tap into the signal conversion so that the new wheel button signals can work with the car please contact Luca @

    [email protected].

He has developed a small dongle that converts the high line to low line signal so that the older Audi’s tech can read the new signals from the new wheel.

Other than that the wheel was pretty much an easy swap.

If you own a soldering iron this will be a walk in the park.

You also need a 2,2 ohm 1/4watt resistor for the airbag.

Since every car can be different Luca has instructions and knowledge to help you re-pin your connector.
It’s very simple. You will need your original yellow airbag connector and swap it to the new airbag. So you will need a pin tool to unlock the connectors.

Below are some pics, I had to make the resistor wire for the airbag and a horn wire but that was it.

    (DISCLAIMER)
As with anything regarding airbags you do it at your own risk and is not recommended, you know what your doing if you choose to continue. I cannot guarantee airbags will function correctly Incase of a car wreck so please understand this is at your own risk. And cannot be held accountable. I am aware of the risks that I am taking and you should two before doing this mod.

Yea I have the i key coming from DGD

    https://www.digitalguarddawg.com/key...tomotive/ikey/

I’m pairing it with the WiFi switch Luca is making for the start button so it will truly be a keyless system with a functional start button on the wheel. :). Very excited !!!

So you can remove the paddles...are you also able to remove the Drive Select or Start/Stop buttons?

Also curious, any idea if iKey works with a manual trans?

    hi, i own a tts 8j my11, i ordered a pair of r8 Style wireless buttons (not original) but identical to the originals;

    1) what do you recommend to make the red button work with the key?

    2) what do you recommend to be able to connect the black button to my sport button?
