    2012 A5 2.0T - poor gas mileage or normal?

I've had my 2012 Audi A5 (automatic and quattro) for about 3 months now and seem to be getting less than average gas mileage. I'm getting about 21-22 MPG with about 80% highway/ 20% city and driving very conservatively. Is this about normal? I kind of expect about 26-27 MPG with my driving habits but someone correct me if my expectations are off? Commute is about 26 miles round trip each day (all highway and no traffic).

Car has been maintained and seems to be running pretty well. New tires and alignment done within the past 200 miles as well. Car is bone stock. Is there anything else I can check for? Fuel filter?

I have a 2010 A5 2.0T, I purchased in 2/18, and thought the same thing. This was before I went stage II.

I also found an article about 4 cylinder turbo charged motors that explains why they may not be as frugal on gasoline consumption as one might think. Trying to find it...

I have a 2010 S-line 2.0t that just turned 96K this morning. I have a Dinan tune and run premium fuel. Most of my 80 mile/day commute is mixed four lane highway and some stop/go through small towns. I avg 26mpg to work/back during the week.

It's not uncommon at all to avg 30-31 mpg with wife and kiddo in car and A/C running on a hwy trip to Chicago or Indy at 70-75 mph.

I averaged 33.6mpg on my last trip to FL, but used to average around 24mpg in the city only driving. So you should be around 28 combined, if all your filters are clean, services are up to date, just regular maintenance.

Something is definitely off then. I have a new OE air filter, new plugs, new belts, new tires/alignment, and fresh oil.

So I got about 255 miles on a tank as I hit the first red has (1/4 left) on the gas tank meter. What are you all getting from a full tank? I'd barely be able to hit 300 miles a tank at this point.

Calculations show I'm right at 22mpg. Is there anything specific I can check for?

I'm obviously way off from your numbers. I imagine right now with city only driving I'd be getting no better than 16 mpg. Agreed that I should be around 28 combined with conservative, 80/20 highway/city driving.
