2018 Q5 Tech Premium vs Premium Plus

Hi, this past weekend my wife and I went shopping for a new Q5 for her. Many of the cars offered were a Tech Premium package. Our salesman was unclear on what the difference is between the Tech Premium and Premium Plus package, only saying it was a limited time offering. Can you explain what the difference between these packages is? I don't see any mention of a Tech Premium on the Audi website, and a Google search didn't help. Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out on this topic! There is a slight difference in how they are categorized and I am happy to explain the subtle differences in how they are categorized. It was initially put forth for the Summer of Audi sales event as a unique trim offering with the "Premium" trim features plus the "Technology Value Package" (which is what it would display as in the window sticker). The Tech Value Package includes the Convenience package as well as the Navigation/Telematics package. In this example, you could purchase a 2018 Q5 with the Tech Premium package (included with Convenience & Nav) and also add on the Premium Plus package for a reduced price compared to the standard "Premium Plus" pricing. As your sales associate mentioned though, this was only a limited time offering.

For the standard Q5, it's more traditional as you would expect with the Premium/Premium Plus/Prestige system. The convenience package is standard with Premium Plus but Navigation is optional on Premium Plus and standard on Prestige. Hopefully this all makes sense, but please let me know if you have any questions on the differences.

    Best regards,
    Vincenzo F.
