Yeah this thread turned into a shit show...

    No 9's yet lol

Track days get cancelled one after the other due to rain. I have been experimenting with various nozzle combinations to realise that at my boost level, my original setup ran the best so I'll redo everything.

We are supposed to get nice weather this weekend so hopefully I'll bring some nice timeslips to get this thread back on track (no pun intended!). I solved my boost issues so I am back to 29.4psi!!

sometimes you gotta air out the dirty laundry so others don't end up down the same path that you went down. so for that, the community says "thank you!"

That's where my head was at 🤷*♂️. It sucks for me because I wound up without a turbo but I'm working with a couple of local shop's. I'll have one eventually

Then I was told the turbo was ready to ship and should be on it's way to in the the next couple of day's. That was obviously a lie. .
Any updates with regards to shipping dates that we provided, were all 100% coming directly from SRM. That is who our staff communicated with each time you called for an update. We don't make up false information, it's not what we do here and there is zero lying on our end! It's a shame that we were given false information and this isn't the first time this has happened. So again I apologize for this, but our hands are tied behind our backs when it comes to this. We understand that the system is broken and are implementing a 30-60 lead time to ensure expectations are set properly moving forward.

You had an active sale at the time of my order, 10% off and free shipping. The rs3 I understand is a different housing but are they not the same gtx3582 internals? Anyways, that was part of the sale. I was refused the sale price because it's not an active product yet. So I asked if I could have the early adopter price since it's not launched on the website. That also got denied because it's not in beta phase anymore. 🤔🤔🤔 seems like bullshit to me. .
We have NEVER had an active SALE on the B9 S4 turbo, ever!

The RS3 turbo requires less parts and machining and the price of two parts are different. The RS3 turbo having been on sale, has no bearing with a SKU/part that was never on sale during a particular sales period. And as you know this item (B9 S4 turbo) was never listed on our website and still isn't as of this moment.

The early adopter/BETA tester was last year, you reached out to us in April 2019, we have been getting ready to launch the product. If a program or discount doesn't exist and you expect us to apply it to your transaction all because you feel we should, and call that bullshit, I don't know what to say.

We sent you a free shirt while you were waiting, we offered you a $200 discount and you denied it, we offered to give you a set of B9 S4 sway bar set ($499), and you turned that down. What you demanded was a $569.99 discount on the part or else a refund. I even set you a PM yesterday apologizing and asking to speak to you if possible, and to help make things better. Unfortunately, I never got a response back.

Then you go on about srm? VERY PROFESSIONAL by the way 😅. Trying to shift the blame on the builder because you promised a product that wasn't ready! That's a bitch move, you should have just owned up to your mistake. I love small business and have no issue paying a few extra bucks if it's the USA. I also really like the quality over quantity model from srm! If I would have been told four to six weeks from the start I wouldn't have been disgruntled about the wait. However, there is no excuse for the way pricing went down. Between the way you hung srm out to dry and the way you interacted with me I have no doubt you are in fact a money hungry company that doesn't actually care about it's customers .... I'd even go as far to say the only reason you wrote this bullshit post was to try and cover up getting called out on your bullshit because it can and likely will deter people from ordering from you.
Oh and by the way, that shirt you sent me... I donated it to the homeless shelter. I'm not going to be a billboard for a company I don't believe in.
When you placed the order with Jared, he never promised a product that was ready to ship. You purchased a product over the phone that we have never officially posted for sale on our site or as having been in stock.

We are not shifting blame or hanging SRM to dry, we are simply telling it like it is. I posted a screen shot of another B9 customer who bought the same part directly from SRM before you did, and he has yet to see anything 30 days later. This isn't the first time we have gone through this, and you are not the first person to experience this. This is not an excuse and I sincerely apologize for our inability to change these circumstances and deliver sooner. As mentioned before the system is broken and the only way to fix it now, at least for the fore sable future, is to set an expectation of 30-60 days for this product. We are an honest business, we don't lie to customers and we certainly don't make bullshit posts. We are not perfect, and can and will make mistakes and we will apologize and own up to those mistakes. Our mistake here was not setting the expectation as we should have, knowing how SRM delivers. For this and on behalf of our team at EuroCode, I once again apologize to you. I will not however, be called a liar, a bullshiter or money hungry business owner!

I like Sean and he is very capable of making great products when he wants to. I have even tried to help him run his business more efficiently, but being a state apart doesn't make it easy. I have even gone as far as flying to Las Vegas to help him there. In fact two weeks ago on 04-17, I was there personally assembling your turbo amongst others, to help him moves things along sooner than expected. And also to help process other orders that had been sitting 3+ weeks out, and not for the B9. When I got there, I was told the back plate needed to complete your part would possibly be there on the 19th, apparently it didn't arrive until 04-30. As you can see, we do care about our customers, we even care about the companies that we do business with. I'm in the process of helping Sean put some things in place to help eliminate these types of issues, but it is proving to be very challenging.

Below are only a few of the issues that have come up in the recent past. Also to be very clear, any and all turbos sold by EuroCode to this date, have been and continue to be built and sold using a 100% "genuine" Garrett CHRA. If we are to sell an alternate option, you can bet that our site will reflect this information very clearly, and so will the price!

lol it sure does, we got to install I think 6 of those before the plug was pulled. We still have built motor cars with those things running around. Cooling was mainly the issue that caused them to not be tune friendly.

I'll be looking to do this turbo upgrade soon! Also, Do you think there will be other bigger turbos down the line that will fit between the cylinder banks or are we limited due to clearance and spacing?

We can go slightly larger, but this CHRA is producing 900HP in the 2.5 litter platform with a slightly smaller housing. So when calibration is made available this will give us what we are looking for, 700-900 fuel dependent. As far as a 1000+ HP setup, a turbo kit with new manifold needs to be developed and is very possible. Plenty of room to work with. 🏎💨

i remember being part of that magnuson thread(i was one of the few that got the kit) lol as far as the two weeks debacle though... that has nothing to do with the 3.0. that was from the ORIGINAL supercharger debacle for the 4.2 s4 way back when.

So does that mean you cancelled your order and no longer looking to do hybrid? And does that mean you have a turbo lying around which you no longer need/want....?

Yes I cancelled, no I'm not buying from eurocode, yes I'm still getting one made just locally and for now yes I have two turbos.... it's going to be a long time before I have an upgraded one.

    David,

Is getting both the chra and housing and shipping those to you just for machining and fitting an option? And if so, what would be the approximate cost? It seems the chra can be gotten from multiple places on the interwebz for around $1600. Would that solve the supply issue?

Custom inlet pipe complete for the hybrid the top end pulls much harder and will be doing the more tuning to dial it in this week before hitting the track. 20190505_195303.jpeg

That is not the issue, there are custom machined parts and also some that come from a 3rd party which had caused the delay. Also that Sean was seriously behind, not just for this part in particular. We now have plenty of the parts required to complete the upgrades, but it will still take time to complete the machining. Sometimes you get lucky and it's done in a week, and others 30+ days out. We are going to buy a few more cores, but even then if we have all of them out and you place an order, there can and will be a delay. Especially if SRM is backed up with other work in front of it.

Can you share more details on that inlet, pictures, prototype, ETA? I am about to go the custom route but I would prefer a bolt-on solution. The tiny stock one is really restricting airflow to feed that gen2 66mm wheel, turbo is choking sooner than it should be.

Sure, it will have provisions for the factory PCV and wire harness hooks. We are getting the first article in soon for testing, if everything fits as intended it will go to production. The inlet ID is just over 66, so lines up with our turbo perfectly and will also accommodate the stock turbo as well.

Happy days. Be interesting to see what it does at the track.

Have a few questions regarding the turbo. What is it they actually do to the standard unit?

Because I’m in the UK going for one from euro code will cost a bomb I expect.

I have managed to get a complete stock turbo with 2k on it for 200$ the thing is pristine. So I was planning on getting it sent off.

Finally made it to the track and managed to break the 10s with poor launches (lots of wheel hop) and long waits between runs. Otherwise it ran flawless for 6 strong passes.

Both compressor and turbine housings needs to be machined to fit the bigger wheels of the GTX3582 gen 2 CHRA. Also, coolant and oil feed need to be modified to accept their new location. So your quote should include a new garrett chra, disassembly, machining of the housings, reassembly, balancing and modifying of the lines.

Hey I know that track.. nice work dude, thought you'd crack 10's! That ET and weight puts you not far off from 600HP...pretty nuts on the stock fuel system with a piggy. I just wanted a 12.98 in the SQ on pump gas, bastard 13.00, lol.
