Lava Gray Pearl

Okay this will sound really dumb. I am looking for a used Q5. I was really looking for a white TDI but I have found a Lava Gray Pearl out of town that I like the miles, options interior color etc. If I make the deal, I will likely do it long distance and have the car shipped. Here is the problem. I have not found a lava gray pearl locally and am not familiar with the color. Can anyone give me some really good photos of one so I can see what it really looks like??

Check on cars.com, but be aware some misclassify the color as black. I have been lusting after a Lava Grey SQ5 recently; the color is amazing IMO.

Here’s mine. I absolutely LOVE the color. Pretty rare too. Sometimes looks black. Sometimes slightly golden/purple/gunmetal. Really awesome color.

A lot of Audi grays have blue in them. Lava Gray is a true gray, with no blue. Fabulous true gray

I like it - unfortunately the guy at the dealer emailed me about two hours after I posted this and said the car sold to someone else. It is a a shame. I like it now that I have seen it. Back to the drawing board.... Thanks to all of you though.

We had it on our ‘11 Q7 and loved it. Looked for it when ordering our ‘19 SQ5 but did not see the color offered. My wife was pretty bummed.

Too bad, hopefully another one will come along. Depending on the lighting, mine alternates between shades of Purple or Brown mixed into a dark gray.

Absolute beaut! What did you for your lowering system? If coilovers, know anyone who has experience with the link system (aka a $200 option to lower the stock suspection)?

Damn, this thread makes me sad. I had a Lava Gray Q5 TDI with all the features one would desire. Sline, Sport Interior, Black Optics, B+O sound, etc....The reason i am sad is because I was hit by a semi trailer 5 weeks after getting it and it was totaled. It took me over six months to find one with all the features i had as well as TDI however i had to sacrifice the Lava and get Daytona instead...The Lava is such a sick color and i miss having it...sad face

PS: The Daytona Gray isnt bad, but i prefer the Lava

If you haven't, search on Edmunds.com as well because they allow search based on specific colors, not just gray, white, black, etc. There are quite a few Lava Grays listed (although a few are incorrectly labeled as such).

So, that’s the EXACT spec i was hoping to find (black optics, carbon, and B&O sound system)... i was also planning on driving down there on Saturday, however it was already sold and wasn’t taken down because the buyer had a hold up with their trade-in title. The deal was finalized but I’m not sure why it’s still up there listed.

I appreciate the lookout, though, and I’ll take a look at Edmunds.
