After showing my wife all the weak CUV options, I successfully nudged her to a new gen Q3. It will be great dumping the CX5 in the next year or two. So as we all wait, let’s post the pro reviews here to keep us excited.

Technology is going to be a big thing with these vehicles as they haven't been updated in almost 5 years. They were always hard to sell because they didn't have much technology in them. The body styling of all the new gen Audi's coming in my option is very well done.

Mine is about a month old now. It performs much better with 91 octane, won't ever run 87 octane again. Also added high flow BMC air filter (via ECS tuning) and that helped a bit too. Suspension / handling is amazing and parallel parking is a breeze. Don't like the lane assist it overpowers the steering wheel but can be turned off with simple click of the button. The oil dipstick is odd have to turn to the left to release and pull out (manual was wrong too shows different engine). But glad at least I have a real dipstick instead of reliance on MMI display. Not expecting high performance ride at this price point but overall value for money for the new '19 Q3 is tough to beat. I find it looks better than Q5 or Q7 with new redesign in my opinion. As many reviews state, the newly designed interior and displays are very impressive in particular.

    New 2020 Q3 delivery info.

Just took delivery of RED 2020 Q3. Sline prestige. Great car. Still working on the electronics. After 2 days starting to understand it. Best German tech I have ever seen. Really brilliant once you get used to it.
Be advised that the Prestige comes standard with Bridgestone High Performance tires. Over $350 per. My dealer agreed to change them out for all season Michelins AS3plus. They will be mounted Monday. Great B&O. Much better than my 2016 Q5. Summing it up. An all around great package. A bit pricey--but worth it.

As you've probably seen all of the good features of the 2020 q3, here's some I do not like. It is easy for me to do this review because wife had a 2016 q3 as well. The 2020 is built in Hungary, not Spain and the build quality does show. The door inserts squeak as you push on them, the hidden under the seat compartments the 2016 had, aren't there anymore. The roll up trunk cover is now a 1985 style hard trunk lid with two ropes like a Tercel. Just fugly. The car has more techy stuff and all, but we already experienced a few glitches, where a screen randomly goes black, or the tranny stops shifting, or the gas pedal won't respond to acceleration. Just weird. The last but not least: the roof just developed a leak, so the water gets inside the cabin through the map light housing. Six months old car. Glad this is just a three year lease, not a purchase.

I have a 2015 Gen-1 Q3, which I really like, and was looking to buy a new 2019 Gen-2 Q3. Yes, the tech is updated, and the size is better, but the interior materials, fit and finish, and the handling did not overly impress me. The new suspension for the US market is more tuned for comfort, at the expense of driving fun. And why is there silver painted plastic interior trim in this Audi? It struck me this is what the new Tiguan should have been, I expected a more premium experience from the new Q3. I kept my old Q3 and bought a CPO Gen-1 SQ5 instead.
