A3 intercooler vs s3 intercooler

Okay so as stated in the title, this is pretty straight forward. What are the advantages of an s3 intercooler on an A3? Is it truly worth it?

^^ but the current intercoolers are still big. As a matter of fact, the A3 and S3 intercooler is actually bigger than the RS3 intercooler... much bigger.

That's nearly 6 years old, and published by someone with a product to push.

Not saying it isn't valid; just saying to take it in context. I'd rather see something recent than 6 year old pics from a vendor trying to sell their own unit.
