Revo Engine Tuning Software is available for the 2017+ Q7 4M with 3.0 Supercharged Engines!

This software has been available for just about a year now, but we noticed there wasn't a post on Audizine!


We have done tons of these so far with fantastic results. Power gains are noticeable right away, power is improved across the full RPM range.

Revo Rates the Q7 CREC as:

Stock - 333hp & 325tq
Revo - 442hp & 367tq

As tested by us, direct before and after on a stock Q7 with 21" wheels.

Stock
0-60 in 6.61s
1/8 mile in 9.55 @ 74 mph

Stage 1 on 91 octane
0-60 in 5.47s
1/8 mile in 8.88 @ 80 mph

And another tested by us, direct before and after on a stock Q7 with 22" wheels.

Stock
0-60 in 5.84s
1/8 mile in 9.17 @ 77 mph
1/4 mile in 14.22 @ 97mph

Stage 1 on 91 octane
0-60 in 5.24s
1/8 mile in 8.81 @ 80 mph
1/4 mile in 13.65 @ 101mph

Here is some before and after acceleration data we just tested from the above Q7.

This truck is on 91 octane fuel, has 22" Rotiform wheels, 412mm Brembo 8 piston brakes, and two car seats in the back.

STAGE 1 PERFORMANCE SOFTWARE

It is worth the trek! There are no user installs planned at this time from Revo. All must be performed by Revo dealers, this allows us to ensure the vehicle software programs correctly, and we also data log the vehicles to ensure they are running as they should.

All of which can be done remotely, I get it tho. There are things that could pop up while flashing, however I've done it on a few Audi's with different tuning companies large and small. It just makes it hard for people who want the product to get it into their hands.

Revo is currently the only tuner with a world wide dealer network available for the Simos 16 3.0 Q7 - there is not a comparison available for me to review.

From the dyno plots the factory tune does start to fall flat around 3500+ rpm, and the Revo tune really begins to shine. Power is up across the board though! With these superchargers you have to wind them up to make power, unlike our turbo friends that have a sudden power gain in the mid range.

Any good fab shop can remove the resonator. I wish awe would come out with a exhaust for the 4m chassis.

So, I figure I'd chime in. I just had my Q7 flashed with Revo's stage 1. At first I was on the fence as I didn't feel the need for the extra power,. But I couldn't resist and ended up pulling the trigger.

Flash takes about 20-30 min and it totally transforms the car. As you know our engines are bit sluggish on the bottom end and it takes time to spool up. This upgrade gets rid of the sluggishness and the pull is way more consistent from top to bottom.

I haven't had it long enough to tell you how the fuel economy is, but driveability is on par as factory if not better.

One other thing, I was concerned about taking my car into service with the new flash. But I was soon comforted to know that they can just reflash back to stock whenever you need to do a service. It's a bit inconvenient, but well worth it in the end. If you have the chance to do it, I say "YES!"

We have another Q7 scheduled for a flash next week. Hoping to get some real world 91 octane performance data with this one. 0-60, 1/4 mile, etc.

This flash count is reset when the vehicle is flashed back to stock.

We have many Q7 customers, and hundreds of Audi customers, who have had zero issues as long as they flash back to stock before any dealer visit.

There are both 91 and 93 octane files available.

My statement above is that since we are located in Southern California, our fuel is limited to 91. We are a Master Revo Dealer; Revo themselves are based in the UK and tune for various fuels, 91, 93, 95 ron, 98 ron, etc.

All flashes must be performed by an Authorized Revo Dealer.

Totally understandable, sometimes you have to pay to play. However do remember Revo is the only tuner with a world wide dealer program for the Q7 4M currently. Stock is boring

Ive taken my car in 2 times for recalls to the dealership and flashed back to stock on my Q5, and never been Flaged.

They did notice and state they saw changes to the computer settings (which i set through vcds), bit it didnt cause them to flag my car.

Couldnt agree more.
Its 2018, and other vendors already provide home flashing. To say its “safer” or anything else is a farce. Most likely a money grab also for dealers in the network.

It is much safer to have a dealer that understands the product flashing the car versus a do at home deal.

The tuner / dealer will have

1. Full control of the flash
2. Correct battery charger / maintainer to sustain proper voltage
3. Understanding of how the vehicle should respond after the flash
4. Ability to data log the vehicle after the flash to ensure it is running 100%
5. Post flash support (like above) instead of sending information back and forth between customer and tuner, this streamlines any file tweaking if needed
6. Just knowing it was done right

I couldn't tell you how many times we have had customers call looking for fixes when their flash at home tool has crashed and locked out an ecu. Expensive replacement when it actually bricks

Does anyone have any information on gas mileage impact? Obviously you will get worse with a lead foot, but normal driving does it suck down more gallons?
