    2015 vs 2016 S7 Differences

Debating selling my A6 Prestige and looking into an S7. I know 2016's had a front headlight redesign, and I think the google maps TFT in the dash correct? Anything else other than a small bump in power too?

I think you won’t have the sweet pop and crackle exhaust notes in the ‘15. Also with ‘16 you will be in sort of a limbo when it comes to using Screen mirroring your phone using VIM as it took out the AMI port and replaced USB. But then the ‘16 doesn’t have Apple car play either and also aftermarket products like RSNAV doesn’t work with it yet.
The gear shifter is the old school one in ‘15 while ‘16 gets the newer one.
Last one I can think of but can’t confirm is the lock button beside the close hatch button on the lift gate is not there in ‘15 but was standard from ‘16.

    rabbit's got it.
I can really only comment on the S6 but S7 difference is mostly the same. '15 is pre-facelift in US. Also a short run so there is less of them (376 S6's to be exact). Headlights taillights and bumpers differ. No sport exhaust option. Faster MMI. No google maps in the cluster. (imho not needed, was just a stop-gap to the 2019 full virtual cluster). T-style gear shifter. The bump in power is marketing/advertising only.... they are all really about 480HP stock.

Starting to wonder if I should wait for the 2019 S7...

Doesn't seem like the price difference is worth is 15 vs 16 other than the headlights.

'19 might be a 2.9L turbo six too.... at least in the S6 anyway... fine for the RS5.
Also expect a price increase on the '19's a spec'ed out A6 is almost $70k now!
