That may be a valid point. Wonder if it translates to the real world. Anyone with gloss black wrap having this concern?
I am planning on doing the mirror caps/front spoiler insert in 3M carbon fiber vinyl wrap, and the grill surround/window trim/lower mirrors in gloss black as I felt like that's what the black optics package is (gloss black). I don't want it to look too "custom," but rather match a package which was available for the car.
If the CF wrap looks terrible or ends up being pretty weak to the elements (rock chips) I'm going to get actual CF parts, but I figured this couldn't hurt to try for the cost. Mirrors and insert won't be more than $200. CF caps are around $900-$1K and insert is hard to come by, only available through CD that I know of, and that runs $750.
