Good stuff Mike! This Gauge is legit!

I was hesitant at first because of mounting options until I went to the AeroForce website and found the option below....

I ordered one today direct from AeroForce because of their customer service. I sent them an email because there’s no phone number listed and got a call back 2 hours later on a Saturday morning at 9am. The rep from AeroForce has a B8.5 S5 and was able to answer my questions and get me the S Badge on the Gauge face (Not available on their website). He also offered to program the Gauge before shipping it to me because I added some additional accessories (Sensors and Relay).

The pic below is actually his car and I went with a black bezel because my existing MMI trim is carbon fiber and I had my OEM speedo cluster trim painted black so I figured this option would look the most OEM....

shove a screwdriver in there with some felt or material around it and push up on the side closest to the steering wheel. Pop it upward. Then slide out towards you on the back section. dont try and pry the back part straight up. it slides out after the front parts are popped up

You can get oil pressure. I purchased the 150psi sensor direct from AeroForce.....

Thanks! Does it plug into the gauge or do you have to run the analog tap? Where is the oil pressure port on the engine?

The gauge has 2 analog outputs so you would need to use one of them. I haven’t installed it yet but the oil pressure sensor kit comes with a NPT port that you use to tap into one of the lines to read the pressure.

It turns off, but seems to turn back on when you get close to the car with the keyfob. I thought the same thing until I jumped in the car quickly one day and noticed the boot-up Audi logo.

I'm not sure mine is the same case, it went into a default mode when I shut the car off and was in the same condition the next day.

If the gauge is showing the menu, it will not turn off. It needs to be scanning for data and talking to the car to know that the car is on/off. What do you mean by "default" mode? I don't know of any instances where the gauge isn't turning on/off properly on the B8/B8.5. It can turn on momentarily if the key fob is used or a door is open.

The gauge has a provision for switched 12v power, which is an easy connection and in cases where an other device or some unexplained reason the gauge turns on improperly this will eliminate it. But, like I said, the S4/S5 should not need this.

The gauge was on coolant temp and oil temp, when I turned the car off both readings went to 113*. when I went to the garage the next day the gauge was still on with these readings. I did not open the doors, I could see it was on through the window. Aeroforce told me I need to hook up the 12V provision.

Hey Mike....you control auxiliary fans that are powered on/off by one of the gauges parameters without a relay control module?

How does it look without a gauge? do you happens to have a picture? I'm still thinking which location I would prefer..

I think I will get tired of the steering column location as its maybe a bit too tuner-ish for my liking.

The other one on the vent, I'm scared the sun will block the vision, and I also like having the light at night bounce back on the aluminium B&O rings (haha)

I haven’t installed it yet.....working on a laundry list of mods right now and this one is later in the process

Also the dash trim they sent me was a little raw for my taste so my buddy’s shop is working on cleaning it up nice and repainting the trim

Installed mine along with new fly designs wheel yesterday with the podi mount. Seems it doesnt sit tight on the podi mount. I drilled the rear of the podi so the bolts could have the clearance. How does everyone elses fit20190825_092418.jpeg

I’ll post some pics of the cleaned up dash trim without the gauge installed

Also I agree with you on the gauge location. I prefer an OEM look or a stealth install where you don’t even see it unless you need to....I did this with my Cortex W/M controller because I didn’t need another thing providing the same info as other gauges.....just needed access to it for programming and logging so I came up with this spot in the glovebox....

Can anyone confirm CNAVx01 is not correct for the B8s? This is what there website says but not working. So are B8s using the same number from B8.5s, CNAUDI14?

Just for future reference, the CNAUDI14 gauge is what you want for the 2011-2016 B8 and B8.5. For the S5 the 2011 and 12 convertables, and all the B8.5 coupes.

The fan control is the second item on the menu, just below "Parameters". Just select it and you'll go to the fan control screen. You do not need anything addition to run the fan, as has been mentioned. The gauge sends the appropriate signal to the PCM to run the fan. Ignition has to be on with engine off.

I just found this thread. This gauge seems awesome. I'm definitely ordering one. Any other creative locations to mount the gauge of an OEM+ subtle look?

Its black/white but the photos make it look blue. It really doesn't look like that in person.

Theres a guy who mounted it in the upper left corner where the mmi screen is too. Looked good
