I have a 2012 A6 3.0T, which started with a stage 2 dyno tune from Powerhaus in Cherry Hill, NJ. Loved the tune it was aggressive and strong. During this time my car experienced the dreaded fuel cut because of failing fuel pump and filing modules. Since I lived 2.5 hours away from Powerhaus it was difficult to flash to stock to take it to the dealer for the recall. Ultimately Elite Motorsports in Long Island resolved my fueling issues.
I heard good things about EPL (from the forums) and the ability to flash from home and them having a fast SQ5. I also wanted to go to Dual Pulley. EPL's stage 2 was conservative (based on the butt dyno) in comparison to my Powerhaus dyno tune. I got my dampened oversized crank pulley from Isaam and installed the dual pulley file. I found it to be an increase but only slightly better than my dyno staged 2. In EPL's defense I never ran logs and sent them to get a revised file. But the fact that the base tune started so conservative and dont remove the speed governor didnt lead me to believe I would get much reward for the effort. (My belief.)
Went to dyno tune Friday but the dyno was not playing nice with the Quattro. (Different than the mustang dyno used by powerhaus.) So I got a bench flash and TCU flash as well. Let me say Eurocharge dual pulley tune feels more aggressive than the EPL. But still drives smooth. This is with just the ecu flash to compare apples to apples. Now with the TCU flash: I definitely know the car is faster with the added RPM range from the increased redline as well.
My car moves like what I always imagined. Fake S4. Lol.
If you haven't done so already, get your TCU flashed. We are missing so much power.
I was not afraid of trying three different tunes. Because everyone on the forum says the tune they purchased was the best and never have any real world experience. I tried three different tunes. 2 off the shelf and one dyno.
Eurocharge has the ability to remote tune my car if I go to dyno shop eith wifi and schedule an appointment with Eurocharge. So I'm sure I can get a revised tune sooner than later or whenever I elect.
Bottom line: Get that TCU file... it changes the car.
P.s. Eurocharge I can tune from home with the controller.
They also tune S6 cars as well to any stage level.
Now Eurocharged!!! Dual Pulley with TCU tune!!!
