Hi all, so ive been thinking about doing a build thread for some time now seen as ive got got something a bit different but just never really got around to it, now that ive got a bit of free time I might aswell give it a bash

So i bought the car back in april 2016 with a few minor modifications including:
    . Milltek exhaust system
    . Rieger rear diffuser
    . Honeycomb front grill
    . REVO Stage 1 remap

Fast forward to early 2017 I began to get accustomed to the power it was producing so I started exploring my options for more power which was of course to supercharge. There were only two supercharger kits that stuck out to me and that was the JHM kit and the Other kit. After a lot of hours doing my homework I decided the Other kit was the best option for me as I am from the UK and the cost for getting the JHM kit to the UK with all the import taxes and duty fees was just mental! plus the £ to $ ratio had dramatically dropped due to brexit haha.

So off it went to Performance!
What a difference it made, the power from 3.5k to redline was truly brilliant! No longer shying away from a tuned RS3 now never mind S3

And heres how the engine bay looks now.

Got the Audi R8 oil cap, Porsche coolant cap as I think the R8 one looks too bulking on these cars and got the black screen wash cap. Brings the bay to life I think.

So after a while of spirited driving there was one major thing that needed upgrading.....BRAKES! I was shopping around for a while and had my mind set on getting the REVO BBK and then I was browsing through ebay and BAMM! I saw some RS5 brakes front and rear with discs at an unbelievably cheap price so I snapped them up pronto. Maybe not the best set of brakes out there but for the price i paid i couldnt refuse. Think ill upgrade the pads to Ferodo DS2500 once these are shot

Fast forward again to 2018. I always adored the look of the RS5 so decided to do something about it.
There was three main options to choose from:

    1. OEM RS5 front bumper = too much fabrication work
    2. rieger RS5 bumper = just looks wrong from every angle pretty much
    3. XENONZ-UK bumper = easy fit, looks good and doesn't effect the side stance of the car (front bumper dramatically lower then the rest of car)

So obviously I went with the 3rd and best option in my opinion.

    And here she is!

I just love the way it looks now! just need to close the gaps a tiny bit more on the sides somehow, any ideas?

So that's it for now, hope you enjoy! There is probably a few minor mods ive forgotten but ill update here and there when i have the time! any questions Im happy to answer

    Mods coming soon, soonish lol:
. P3 gauge (just needs fitting)
    . Flat bottom steering wheel
. Coilovers (looking at getting Eibach pro street S) anyone have any experience with them?
. Alloy wheel refurbish (desperately needed lol)

This just makes me so much more hopeful for a proper rs5 supercharger build that's actually available.

Thanks a lot! Erm im pretty happy with the rear atm but I might get the side skirts wrapped in gloss black to match the rear bumper and the front lip. Might also get the door handles done but not sure if it would look any good.

    Cheers to you, too, Gav!

i went with the fog light delete, so i just used 3m VHB double-sided adhesive tape & multiple heavy-duty 'zip-ties' on the resistor modules in that came with the kit.
cant remember exactly what surface i attached them too, but it was V near the where the fog lights were....

Yeah I've realised that with you guys at the other end of the pond, don't know why you guys don't just go on to eBay uk and buy them second hand, probably save a bit of money that way.

    New bits and bobs!

Havent updated on here in a while so here whats been keeping me busy lately!

    17/10/18

Transmission insert arrived yesterday, got around to fitting it today. £25 non-branded from ebay, more than half the price of the 034 motorsport one and no stoop on product quality either if anyone is interested in one give me a shout and ill try get you the sellers details.

    Out with the OLD!

    [IMG][/IMG]

    And in with the NEW!

Was easy enough to fit, about 5 minutes work! Takes a 10mm triple square bit and needs torquing to 20nm. "excuse crappy photo"

    21/10/18

Just a little sneak preview of the new wheel on order, just waiting for the S5 badge to be fitted now

    Cant wait to fit this!!

    25/10/18

Got another parcel in the post the other day. RS4 pedals to replace the rubbish slippery OEM black ones

    [IMG][/IMG]

    Before

    [IMG][/IMG]

    And after

    [IMG][/IMG]

Absolute nightmare to fit originally then after 1 hour of tearing my fingers apart I got fed up and just sprayed some WD40 on them and they slipped straight on! happy days!

    stay tuned

    Gav-

Great thread and thanks for sharing. Any chance you'll do a write up on the steering wheel after it's installed? I'm intrigued and would be curious about where to source one, and the steps to swap out.

I really appreciate all of the write ups and comradery of the community.

Thanks! I have actually already fitted the steering wheel, just haven't documented it yet as ive been uber busy with work and the likes. Ill get some post install pics up when i get around to it
As for the install its super easy really, I used this page as a guide for getting the old wheel off https://www.audienthusiasts.com/Proj...eringSwap.html on this page however it says to use a "T55 torques bit" for the center bolt, DONT! its not the correct bit and its on there pretty tight so you could end up rounding it off God forbid. use a 12mm triple square bit.

Putting the new wheel on is no different apart from the airbag, it has little hoops on the airbag that snap into place on the wheel "youll hear them clip in" couple pics below so you get the idea. "this is not my steering wheel btw"

If youre looking to source one of these wheels look up "sat_nav_deals" on ebay UK he posts worldwide and can get the wheel custom to you i.e smooth, semi, full perforated leather and different color stitching. Or if you have an automatic transmission you can just simply buy a B8.5 RS5 steering wheel as its plug and play with the B8. just make sure it has the EXACT same buttons as mine in the post above.

    Hope this helps

    December update!

Been a while since my last update as ive been busy with other commitments and had a couple of minor repairs to do on the car including a cracked coolant reservoir (common problem on these cars so ive been told) so I swapped that out with a second hand one and I also had to replace a spark plug that fouled.

quick question! is anyone thats running considerably more power on there S5 whether thats the V6 or V8 engines using spark plugs with a colder heat range? if so what range are you using?

Anyway the new steering wheel has been fitted for a month or so now and it feels SOOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER! thicker, better thumb rests and just looks the dogs b*****ks in general!

Got a sly shot in when I was stuck in traffic oops

    [IMG][/IMG]

    And a few close ups

    [IMG][/IMG]
    [IMG][/IMG]

Also thought id get a shot of her and my colleagues lovely Focus RS while is was there!

    950BHP all in right there

Hopefully I should have some new parts coming in soon! looking at getting lowering springs and new alloys or new coilovers and just get the current alloys refurbished
    Help me decide

    Finally lowered

    December 2018

So its been a busy and rather frustrating few days working on the car, got some temporary H&R OE springs (25mm drop) fitted, ill probably be selling them next year sometime once I can afford some coilovers! also done a few adjustments to the front bumper. The drop looks more or less perfect to me, just need to wait for them to settle a little.

    Before:

After: Couldnt get a side on as the SQ5 was in the way

Also managed to snap one of the coolant hoses when i was removing it to get to the bolt you can see just underneath it, LOVELY :wall:

    [IMG][/IMG]

    MARCH 2019

Seen as the weather has been lovely lately I decided to take her out for a drive in the Northumberland countryside and got a few shots while I was at it :smile2:
Couple new bits have been done since my last post including some 20" Le Mans alloysr
and also managed to haggle some O'carbon interior trim from Ebay!
