Thinking of getting a 2009 TTS, my b7 a4 was just totaled. Are you guys happy with yours? Would you recommend it? What should i look for when buying and what are some common issues?

It’s a very enjoyable car with a lot of parts shared with the r8 of the same era in the interior, it’s good on gas and also pretty quick, their magnetic shocks commonly are known to fail

I bought my 12 tt in May with 75000 miles on it, it has been terrific for he 5000 miles I have added. I did the 75k service after buying it to be sure, and I really enjoy the car.

I got my 2009 TTS with about 42,000 miles this July. I had some error codes for the intake manifold early on, which the seller corrected at no cost to me (replaced the actuator). It has never had an issue other than that... and, even that did not create any noticeable difference in the car's reliability / performance.

The car drives great and reeks of quality. Turbo lag is there... but the thing is a rocket when it takes off. The only thing that's kind of "meh" is the gas mileage. I get around 20 - 21 in the city. Sometimes less on very short trips with lots of hills. Tops out around 27 - 28 on hour-long highway trips. Not bad... but not stellar.

2012 TTS roadster. Can’t get over how reliable and bulletproof it has been over 63,000 miles of moderate to hard driving. Just service and go!

I've had my 2008 TT 3.2 since 2013. Daily driving it and using it for Autocross. I've had minor issues just like everyone else.

The window wires are known to snap.
The bonnet lever is known to break.

This thread has very useful information about the roadster, but it also covers other issues known to the MK2 TTs.

I've had mine for 20k now, no problems at 62k miles. Only done 2 oil changes, and new plugs after the tune. I did just notice a thunk from the front left suspension area when going over bumps at mostly low speed - can't figure out if its the top mount/bearing, strut, or something else. There was no fluid leaking from the strut and all the bolts were torqued to spec....so....hope its not something on the inside of the strut going bad.

This one surprised me this summer. Haven't had that happen on any other car. The plastic lever on the TT is pretty soft.

Mine is at 66,000 miles and has been good so far otherwise.

My 2009 TT 2.0 has 140k miles and is problem free! Just did some major maintenance but it was more just because of the milage vs needing it.

Here she is all ready to go to 200k miles! IMG_7440.JPG

102,000 problem free miles on my 2013 TTS. Just broken in, and did Stage 1 REVO...wish I had done it sooner! This is the most trouble free Audi I have owned — and I have had 13 of them! Just keep up with the maintenance and drive it like you stole it!

Have a '10 TT Quattro and I love it. Bought her with 90K (1 owner, dealer maintained). Only had to replace the PCV valve so far, knock on wood! GREAT on gas compared to my b6. If I could do it all over again though, I'd get the TTS

Just curious... what prompted the PCV replacement? Like, what kind of symptoms/issues were you having?

    Thanks...
