    Performance Upgrades B8 A4

Hello hello, I'm new to the website and fairly new to the car scene. I'm a quick learner though and have been doing plenty of research so I have some ideas as to what I would like tp upgrade next. I just wanted to get the opinion of some more experienced people. So far I've owned the car 5 months and haven't done any real performance upgrades, more or less working on a few small aesthetic things first. It's a 2.0T 2011 A4 Quattro with a diverter valve spacer, sport springs, 18 inch rims on low profiles, and a RS4 hex grille blacked out.

Hit me up with suggestions for next PERFORMANCE upgrades. I was thinking of going for a stage 1 tune with either an intake or exhaust upgrade at the same time. Thoughts?

Go stage 2 right away rather than going back to the tuner for it later.

As NovaRider said, definitely take care of your timing tensioner to avoid a very costly repair bill down the road.

As for mods, if you plan on doing an exhaust upgrade of sorts, get a high flow cat. That will allow you to jump straight to a Stage 2 tune.

A cheap and easy mod is the silicone turbo inlet hose and MagnumFlow Pro-Dry Air Filter. Will give you a little bit more turbo noise and a little better turbo response.

Exactly what I was going to say. Go straight to Stage 2 for maximum smiles/mile. The difference is night and day.

Depending on your budget, I would do your intercooler (lots of good options here, CTS turbo, APR, Eurocode if you can find it since it's discontinued) and a K04 kit.

I went with CTS K04 (includes HFC for minimal $), CTS intercooler, did the timing chain, carbon cleaning, and replaced the water pump. It's a good opportunity to do everything b/c

    1. They'll likely give a deal on the job since you're doing so much at once.
    2. Lots of the labor overlap
    3. Audi will likely cover the labor for the timing chain (which is a double win given #2 above).

So my audi indie shop ended up installing the K04, magnaflow HFC, exhaust, APR intake, CTS intercooler, water pump, changed all timing chains+tensioners+guides, carbon cleaning for 3000 in labor. Audi is going to reimburse me 1300 for the labor portion of the timing chain replacement, so I'll have had all the above installed for 1700 total in labor.

Do the intercooler hose kit help improve under loads also, over the OEM rubber hoses?
