2009 A3 and right brake light warning

A few months ago, my right brake light warning came up on my dash. Thinking it was just the bulb, I bought the bulbs to replace the old ones with, but all the lights and their functions were working. When I got into the right rear housing, I popped out the bulb holder and noticed that area holding the brake light bulb had some melting around it. The bulb itself was fine, but I replaced it anyways since I was in there. I figured since the aluminum framing wasn't secured down like normal, that's what was throwing the dashboard light. So I ordered another bulb holder from ECS and when I replaced it the dashboard light was still on. All the lights work and they all function as intended.

One thing to mention was around 2012, I had a right dipped light warning come up, but upon trying to replace the bulb, the bulb was fine. I got more curious and found that the fuse responsible for this light was blown and it even melted around the slot that it's in. There was no damage to the slot itself, just the small plastic around the slot. There was also no melting around the holder like this one. Ever since then, the car has been immaculate with no issues (until this year, and coincidentally enough, right after I paid her off )

Anyone have any idea?

So after this post, I tried two more things to kind of rule them out. My cousin has an A4 and he had the right brake light warning on, but after everything, all it turned out to be was his license plate bulb. I checked mine and one of them was out. Replaced both bulbs, lights work, but the warning light is still there. The second thing I tried was using electrical contact cleaner in the harness. The pins didn't have any corrosion or anything, but I used it anyways. Actually did it on both taillights, but nothing. That right brake light warning on the dash is still on.
