MMI Software Version is "?"

Hello!

Just bought a 2012 A6 3.0T a few months back and I am just now starting to dig my heels into it!

I wanted to know how to do the MMI Version Update (not really so particular with maps unless thats included) just to see the true features of my car.

Can anyone give me a point in the right direction? A lot of the other forums are outdated so i figured I'd start fresh.

I would start with checking which software you have installed (it could already be updated). And referencing the MMI Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multi_...ce?wprov=sfti1

So when I go to current version, it shows a "?" as the version. I even called audi and the tech said they dont do MMI updates. Didnt feel like continuing the convo with him at that point in time..

Shoot a PM over to magn2o. They have been able to help many other folks on the C7 platform update their MMI.

I think it varies by location. But doing it yourself is much cheaper.

Will do. The service tech at Audi said that they are really only supposed to fix bugs but if I wanted the newer version I’d have to get a whole new MMI system.

So........ I was fortunate enough to get an updated file and put onto an SD card (class 10 32gb) i put it in the car after following the steps and this is what i got... stuck again! lol

Could be. I’ll look through my emails to see if I still have the update instructions

The update file had a total of 541 mb, if you find it, could you confirm if that’s accurate?
