Audi A6 4G Sedan RMC Upgrade to MIB2

    Hi,
I'm planning upgrade my RMC system to MMI 4G - MIB2, but I haven't any cables in the back.
I wanted this unit 4G1035044B which hasn't digital tv and radio connector (code QV0 and QV1), but i found this unit 4G1035021J which has codes QU1, QV3 which means digital TV and digital radio in.
So means It that I shouldn't have radio tuner and cables in the back and all this is in this unit? It'll be easier for installation, but Im not sure.

    Can u help me please?

MIB2 dont have any cables in the back unless you have BOSE or B&O.

RMC to MIB2 is pretty straight forward but since you disnt mention if your car is FL or pre FL its hard to tell exactly what you need.
But usually you need headunit, new screen, new gw, new cluster and new connectors.

I'm not sure if I have preFL or FL. I have 2012 version with full LED headlights. I also have cluster with the big display and ACC red leds. So I need unit, monitor, gw, antennas and connectors? Maybe I can use my old GW, If I have cluster with big display.

Its pre fl. Fl came in 2015.
You need following to make everything work.
    Headunit
    Screen
    MMI panel
    GW to MIB2 (no MOST)
Cluster from FL (or you wont see maps in cluster)
    New MOST cables to cluster

Then you need to redo wiring and add new cables.

Also everything needs to be unlocked online as most of the parts have component protection.

If you have BOSE or B&O you will need new amplifier + re-do all wiring to the amplifier.

I thought that cluster with big display is the same. I have night vision on this. What is GW and MOST? I haven't Bose or B&O, only 11 or 12 speakers, so not basic not Bose :D

I read that some MMI3G+ has radio unit, amplifier and changer(?) in the back. But I don't know what is GW and MOST and which I need. How I recognize that correct one?

Yes, MMI 3G+ has amplifier (for Bose and B&O), radio tuner and TV tuner in the boot/trunk (LHS).

And MIB2 unit has all of that except amplifier into one unit? Cause that 021 unit has digital radio and tv fakra connector so I expecting that connector is for antenna.

Okay, thank you. And now I must discover what is that MOST and GW and which I need to change, 'cause I really don't know what it is.
Maybe GW knows about everything what is installed in the car, but thats all :D

MOST = Fibre Optic system which physically links vehicle modules.

GW = CAN Gateway, central unit that links and communicates to all the various modules.

If you have A 2015 S7 FL with 4G MIB2 and want to add TV tuner will you need additional antennas if you have DAB radio?. And if so I what tV tuner would i get for Australia?
