Codes I can’t remove!

I’m getting these codes

Mode 3: emission related codes
Address 7E8: no fault code found
Address 7E9: no fault code found

I can’t delete these codes so any advice on what to do to remove them or stop them or what they are.

Perhaps you should do a scan and visit the Ross Tech forum.

I used VCDS to find the codes but it’s not removing them. It cleared a bunch of other codes but these 2 stay permanently.

Again, since you are getting no replies here maybe go to the Ross tech site and see if they can help. They will want you to post an auto scan of your car. http://forums.ross-tech.com/showthread.php?101

Any emmisions related codes are considered permanent codes. Can't be cleared other than getting rid of the check engine light. Codes will go away after 3 drive cycles and the ecu confirms the fault that initally set the code is not set again. Drive it a few days and check again, they should go away if the problem was fixed.
