Paddle shifters on Pre-facelift?

I’ve seen these paddles around recently. I really like them but don’t know if they will fit on my current steering wheel. Can anyone confirm or deny fitment?

Do you have paddle shifters already?

If not, you'll need a wheel which has them (~$250 on eBay for B8s, B8.5s are far more) plus some VCDS coding (~$250 for a cable, or a post in your regional thread and paying someone a 6-pack for their time) to enable them.

If you already have paddles but just don't like them I don't think you can change the entire paddle but extensions are available.

I added paddles to my B7, and now to my pre-facelift B8. The biggest difference is that the standard SW controls on the B8 do not have a board to plug the paddles into. So I used the guts from a pair of old B7 controls. Read this thread for more info.

Im a little confused. I have the B8 steering wheel with paddles already. Would these swap over? You said the standard Sw controls on the B8 don't have a board to plug the paddles into but I already have paddles and they work? I read the thread but still not sure where to go.

Sorry, thought this was a total swap situation. If you already have the paddle set up, then its just down to whether you can swap for those paddles you showed. That I don't know.

It sounds like you've messed with it. Do the connections in the picture look the same as the regular B8 connections? I've never taken off my steering wheel to know

Yea those plugs in your picture look right. They just plug into the existing volume/phone controls on each side of the steering wheel.

I don't recall anyone trying to swap out complete paddles, but if it's a PITA you can add extensions to the existing paddles for a similar effect.
