Hey Guys! so I'm new to this thread and wanted some feedback and opinions for my Audi!
I want to tune the car and upgrade the exhaust, I have a 2011 A4 Premium Plus and it has about 73,000 miles.
So about the tuning, should I just get a stage 1 tune or go higher and what kind of exhaust should I get to get it aggressive?
    Thanks for all the feedback!

Firstly, welcome. What engine do you have? What are you're goals other than "you want to tune and get an exhaust"? What do you use the car for? What's your budget?

I have the stock 2.0 TFSI engine and I use the car as a daily driver and I just want a real head turner ya know? I want people to know it’s mine and It would depend on how good the exhaust is and etc but let’s just say $2500 for now

For Tune, APR or REVO are prolly the best options for a B8 A4 tuning ECU tuning. But if you don't plan on going beyond Stage 1, you could look into one of those tune plugs that give you Stage 1 results but can be disconnected when you want to go back to stock for maintenance, to protect your warranties. If you plan on going Stage 2 eventually, you are going to need to get an upgraded Downpipe. I believe APR has the best deal for Stage 2 upgrade (from Stage 1 if you are a return customer) since you only need to buy the downpipe (theirs) and the Stage 2 tune is free.

For Exhaust, "AWE Tuning" exhaust is a typical favorite for A4 drivers from what I've heard. It comes in single-side twin-tips and dual-sided quad tips options. If you get the quad tip option, it should come with all the hardware needed to make the conversion. CTS is another company that makes Exhausts. Three things you will want to consider when picking your exhaust setup:

    1) Single-sided twin tips vs Dual-sided Quad tips (Dual-sided Dual tips is a super rare option), there are much more options for aftermarket rear bumper valences/diffusers designed for Quad tips than for single-sided Dual tips.

    2) Resonated vs Non-Resonated. Non-resonated is usually louder as it subtracts the resonator (muffler) that sits forward of the mufflers near the tips.

For an easy Visual upgrade, aside from the RS style grill you can check out "034 Motorsports" for some 'RS Styled' Fog Light Grills that are the best fog light grills (IMO) for pairing with any RS Grill, and they are not expensive at all.
Adding a 'Smoked out' effect for your Headlights and Rearlights really adds noticeable Aftermarket look to your car. This can be accomplished by buying laminate film to place over the lights.

    3) Straight Piped vs HFC. Straight Pipe is louder and more aggressive sounding, but can cause you issues if your state has emissions standards. HFC gives you most of the performance of a Straight Pipe, but still addresses the issue of emissions (mostly).

    Everything he said ^^

Also consider wheels and lowering springs, stance says a lot about a car visually. Go 19s, grille, slight ride height drop, stage 1, loud exhaust.

    You're set to turn heads.

Not for nothing, he will have to up his budget with that list :-) .....the APR Stage II and downtube alone will be in the $1500 ballpark.....

I'm trying to build my 2011 A4 B8 to a rally car. I want it to still be street suitable but I'm not sure what all to do and what to do first. Any help??

You going to go Stage 1 or 2? K04 or Big Turbo?

If you plan on increasing your power, I would suggest getting an aftermarket Intercooler. The best one I can think of for completeness would be the ECS tuning kit, that includes the aluminum piping (instead of the silicon tubing) and the pricing is really good. https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-part...02894ecs01kt1/

Do rally cars do a lot of turning and ups/downs? If so, i'd suggest || Sway bars || an upgraded Suspension || Strut Tower brace. (my opinion).

Aftermarket Engine mounts and Transmission mounts would probably be ideal. I have no suggestions for Engine mounts, but the ECS or 034 Motorsport Transmission mounts would be a suggestion by me.

I would say for Braking, at the very least I'd upgrade the rotors for better cooling and better performance brake pads. Whether you want to go for a Big Break Kit is up to you, unless someone else suggests it's a good idea.

Last of all that I can think of off the top of my head would possibly be a water/meth kit.

Thank you for all of this!! I will definitely take it into consideration but the previous owner of this car has a K&N air filter and an expensive downpipe that he had on the car before he took it off so do you think it’s worth it to get that stuff from him?

Depends, I've been getting conflicting testimonials about K&N filters and I've never used them myself, so I can't really say in that regard. As for the Downpipe, there is going to be some research you will need to make that decision:

    • If you are going with another brand, then it getting the downpipe from the previous owner might be a good way to save yourself some money.

    • If you are going for APR, you are going to have to compare how much the Stage 2 tune is going to cost + the cost of the Downpipe (of previous owner) vs how much APR's downpipe will cost (since APR Stage 2 is free if you buy their downpipe).

In my opinion, going APR all the way on this is the best option, unless the owner is selling a good condition Pipe for insanely cheap.

If you are going for performance upgrades, an aftermarket intercooler is a must. Wagner Intercoolers are the most visually appealing IMO, but the best 'bang for your buck' would be the ECS intercooler kits with the aluminum piping. They are the most complete kit and their price is insanely low all things considered.
