Hello all, I’ve changed the battery in my remote key before, but I forget what size and kind of battery I need. Can anyone help me what battery do I need for my key fob. Thanks so much in advance.

Why didn't you just pull the battery out and look at it? That's what I just did to find the answer for you.....

I just replaced mine in my spare key tonight. My son had to drive the car briefly today and came back with a dead fob battery.

Mine began dying very quickly while I was in a Best Buy. Barely was able to unlock the door and start the engine. Would have been nice if a message had appeared on the info screen a week or two before it went out.

My 2015 had a message, replace key fob battery. But when I used a cheap Chinese bsttery , it did not. I now only use Panasonic battery, made in Indonesia, which is the eom battery! yes Dealer will replace if car still under warranty, but trip back & forth use more gas than buying 5 of them on Amazon

CR2032. I just keep a pack of them with my owner's manual in the glovebox.

I usually get the low battery warning on startup for a good month before the keyfob starts having intermittent problems.
