traded in the sq5 and just got a 2017 Q7 prestige. it has the upgraded 21” but i want to get some 22” on it. what’s the ideal width and tire size. i don’t think i’ll be lowering it and it has the leveling suspension.

    thanks!

My ideal 22" size would be 305/35 on 11"+25.

22" can look great but I'm biased towards a meaty 21" set up.
I went with 21x10" ET20 and swapped to 295/40R21. Love the ride quality and look and with your air ride, would look amazballz.

Aha! That's the correct size. It would be perfect with just a 1-inch drop.

I purchased 22x10.5 Vossen HF-1 for my wife's 2018 Prestige Q7. If I remember correctly the tires are 295/30 R22 Michelin PSS, haven't gotten them mounted and balanced yet, but they should look pretty good with the air suspension adjusted correctly.

Umm. . .you should have gotten 295/35's. The 30's are considerably shorter than the stock diameter, by 1.1". That's a difference of 3.5%, or to put it another way, when your odometer shows you've gone 10K miles, you will have actually only gone 9,650 miles. Your robbing yourself on depreciation. At 60 MPH on your speedometer, you will actually be going 57.9 MPH. You might want to step those up to 35's.

That’s what I’m thinking and hopefully can get that done sooner than later.
