Run RS5 spec oil in S4?

Has anyone considered or is running 5w40 502 spec oil in their S4? To the best of my knowledge the reason Audi went with 0w20 in the S4 is to meet MPG standards as it provides slightly better fuel economy. Personally I'd prefer a cooler running engine over the increased fuel economy. I'm currently looking for the internal Audi service training guide RS5 (sorry don't know engine code) similar to the S4/S5 EA389 one posted below to see the differences. If the oil pump, oil sensors and oil restrictors are the same is there any reason why we couldn't run 502 spec oil?

I would be interested in this answer as well...given that we are seeing this as a possible problem on our motors.

The Castrol Edge 5W-40 is the same 502 oil that's been recommend for the 2.0T for years.

The RS 4/RS 5 engine is the EA389. The S4/S5 engine is the EA383.

I have the S4/S5 as the EA839? Does the RS4/RS5 run the miller cycle like the S4/S5 do? I wonder if the miller cycle has anything to do with the 0w20 choice? I would love to run a the 502 spec as its available everywhere and is substantial cheaper then the 508 spec.

Is there more to it than just fuel economy for the 508/509 spec or is this just marketing BS?

"The new LongLife oil is intended for use in engines requiring the VW 508 00/ 509 00 Specification. These are a new breed of engine, built to use latest technology oils like Castrol EDGE Professional LL IV FE 0W-20 to maximise their performance."

"Specific latest generation of VW and AUDI engines, high performance Gasoline and Diesel, require a
very dedicated lubricant because they provide way more efforts and run at increased temperatures,
while providing the same performance levels as the previous engine generations they replace"
