I think there's two kinds at least,
    aero vs. non-aero

aero is solid, while non-aero uses old school metal spring pieces (looks different)

beyond that, I'm not sure if there's more differences/options, such as lengths.
I'm not sure what the preferred companies are for good quality. If it's Valeo, it might also be a bit pricey. Especially considering some say to replace wiper blades as often as yearly.
IDK if it depends on how the car is used. If it rains a lot, and if it gets garage-kept over night and parked in a shaded garage during the day, if the workplace or school, etc. has one so that the sun isn't heating the blade rubber and glass.

You do have your parts stores, Costco, etc. with a stock supply of various size blades; I'm not sure if they can be made to work, and if it's cheaper that way. Maybe Costco has Bosch ones.

I have the non-aero. Will the aero fit the non-aero?

Refills for the regular ones can be had just by getting the correct length walmart wipers and stealing the refills from them.
The Audi arms can be refilled; you just need to open up one of the crimped ends that keep you from removing the old refill blades.
    yup.

TRICO 47-700 REFILLS WORK--but have been discontinued!
They can be found on ebay...sometimes.
Don't waste you time with the ebay China crap..

But again..Walmart 22” wiper refills also fit and are equivalent to 47-700

These may work as well...but I have not verified.

Generally any 7-8 mm refill will work.
    Most say 7mm..I say 8mm.

Keep the metal splines from your oem refills,; they are handy to have when you get only rubber refills.
The Walmart ones are plastic splined.

Was going to swap out the factory B6 wiper arms for the B7 ones to avoid buying the overpriced blades.

The b7 blades are coming down in price for sure..but still too pricey for me. I found some on ebay for $16 a pair...of unknown quality..and also new arms wiper arms for $39!!

But my 2002 straight blades still cost me $8 total at walmart to replace and I am quite poor right now.

If you can afford the money needed up front to swap over, it might be worth it, but again the areo blades still cost more than the straight blade refills at this point.

Times are still hard for some folks.
It is a mod on my list.

If you convert to aero: Valeo blades worked great for me.

I have never changed the bladed on mines, but I was reading the factory blades were like $40 a piece so guys were putting the B7 wiper arms on because you could buy regular aftermarket blades for them. I got a set of B7 wiper arms in the junkyard for like $8 a piece, still sitting in the backseat of my car.
