They're basically the same car. One has a hatch back, the other doesn't. Which style do you prefer?

The top down view camera is a nice feature on the S6, but not available on the S7.

Didn't know this! But with a slightly wider body in the 7, that makes sense. Do you happen to know the diff (in mm or inches)?

I'm trying to sell some HREs off my RS5 and wonder if I can market them to A/S7 owners instead of only RS5/RS7 guys.

Biggest difference to me was there’s no headroom in the back seat of the S7, and I couldn’t fit in the driver’s seat either (I’m 6’5”). S6 was no problem and cheaper to boot.

The front seat isn't that different. My buddy has a 6 and I have a 7. Did you drop the seat down the hole way? It goes very low. I'm 6'2-3" and sit very upright. With seat down I have probably 3" of headroom. Now if you are 300 lbs at that height maybe due to backside.

Excellent, this is the type of info that I am interested in. I greatly appreciate all the help! I do plan on modding, the tire width may be helpful in the future, but I do se a lot of fast S6’s on here. I guess it’ll come down to any technology differences for me.

You can't go wrong with either one. It's really about preference in body style and if you're willing to pay extra for the S7. On average it's about 5-10k more for the S7 when equally equipped. Like mentioned, you can fit wider wheels on the S7 but the engine and power train are the exact same. I have a '14 S6 and I love this damn car but be prepared to pay the Audi tax for maintenance and mods. It is absolutely not cheap to mod this car or if anything breaks, to fix it. I'd recommend to have around 5k at least sitting in the bank incase anything breaks... if you get one out of warranty.

However, this car is just titties! When everything is done right, this car is just fast! It's really hard to believe sometimes how fast she is considering her size and weight. I only have EPL Stage 1 ECU/TCU tune and it's just crazy. I can't imagine what it's like with stage 2 or the guys that are stage 3. I'm at sea level and I'm hitting low 11s in the 1/4 mile with just stage 1. I also love how rare the car is. You can search the thread on here but this car only averages around 4500 sold a year in the US since the C7 gen started. Yeah, to most people it's just another family sedan wandering the streets. But when you unleash her, everyone is like wtf just happened?

What is also weird, I've been stalking these forums for a couple of years and all of a sudden, there seems to be a surge of people looking at this platform and more mods are finally starting to come out/be developed. Not sure why, maybe because the car is becoming cheaper with the C8 around the corner? This car is completely underrated in my opinion. I'm about to hit 70k miles and not a single problem so far... knocks on wood.

If he has time slips, that will be the fastest S6 on EPL stage 1 to date.

Lol, I knew I should've put a disclaimer. I never ran this car at the track so I am basing my times on the comparison of my friends hellcat when we run and what his gps tracker shows when I borrowed it. So basically, take that with a grain of salt. I don't feel my car is anymore special than anyone else's so I'm probably really more like mid to high 11's like everyone else. Sorry about the confusion.

lol its all good im sure i will enjoy the tune. i think with all the tunes out there they are pretty close so if you dont track it it will still be more then enough power for a dd.

I disagree. Tested many times on both S7 and A7 compared to S6. I’m 6’5” about 210 so pretty skinny so my backside isn’t raising me up :-). The headroom in the 7 is just less than the 6 with both seats all the way down. I have lots of excess headroom in my S6. I could drive the S7, but found my head contacting the headliner occasionally so just couldn’t buy it.
