    OEM spring colors

Havent posted in a loooonnnnng time, but i have a question hopefully someone might have some insight on. I had Eibach prokit springs on my b7, quattro, 2.0t, tip for 3 years now. The front left spring broke from being defective and now the car is sitting in my driveway looking slammed. I emailed a ton of people and getting eibach to help me is like pulling teeth, since i bought them in that now discontinued Koni FSD/eibach kit.

So, I might be needing a truck for work and I'm afraid the audi might have to go. So, I might return the car back to stock height to help selling it. The problem is someone thew out my OEM springs. I have no pictures of them or anything.( I do remember seeing white and green but which corner ???) So i dont know the color codes or anything . . I was wondering if anyone knows or has a good guess which color codes springs I might need. 1BA suspension code, stock suspension, only aftermarket parts are the Koni FSD shock and struts and Eibach springs. (well 3 of 4 springs. lol) The car is a 08 sedan, b7, 2.0t, quattro, tiptronic.

A parts company not to far from me has alot of springs that may work, but the sales guy won't really say with certainty if the color codes he has will work since he's worried about the other subset of codes other than 1BA. Im close to just buying another set of Eibach's and being done with it. But if anyone has a good knowledge of the codes or has a car like mine and knows the color codes, it'd be greatly appreciated and thanks for the replies in advance.

Thanks! I dont have it front of me right now but I'll PM you it when I get it later on. Do you work at Audi? I think may have a pic of the build sticker too from the trunk if it helps.

Springs only. I’ll be putting them on the konis again. Engine a 2.0t or 3.2? If it’s a 2.0t should be perfect. Let me know shipping to 06484.

    Thanks!

Not bad at all. If you can take a picture of them, I’m curious about the color codes. I pmed Almorris above my vin to check. If it works out. I’ll go the full 50 for shipping.

    Thanks!

With the eibach, is the spring broken in 2 pieces?
    Or is it just cracked?
I have the pro kit with koni yellow and the driver side front seems way to low.

Yes I work in parts at an Audi Porsche VW dealer, and I run the VW parts, but I’m master certified in all brands.

According to my resources (and if you have your front/rear mixed up) these should work. GLWS

Thanks everyone for the help. Sylvania consider them sold. PM me your info. I’m off to work in a few, but I’ll get the $50 your way by tonight. Thanks again!

Snapped in 2 pieces. I had them on for 3 years, usual driving with some sprited driving. 2 weeks ago i got in the car and can it looked a little low. Pulling of the of the driveway I was scraping. Got to work 20 minutes later to find the left front corner looking slammed. Next day I popped the wheel and found this. IMG_2792.jpg

The last coil before the spring perch just snapped clean off. No sign of corrosion or rust or anything. No idea where that other piece went.

I am likely backwards. It’s been about 6 years since I’ve looked at these.

    You have the koni yellows.
What’s your wheel gap in the front when the springs were not broken?

They lowered the car about 1.2” all around. Rears sat almost flush with the fenders. The fronts sat almost flush with the fenders as well l, if not maybe a tad tucked under the fenders.

There's rust right next to the break. Stress riser corrosion failure. Textbook strength of material failure. This happens to the end coils when the paint wears off (or just fails).
