I've got a 2012 Audi S4 that died three times on my Sunday...
Both the center instrument cluster display and the mmi display went black, then a few seconds later the engine went to idle and the dsg went into neutral. The check engine light came on and the car is showing a "P12A4 AUDI Fuel Rail Pump Control Valve Stuck Closed" code. Each time I was able to shut the car down and immediately restart the car... Got it home (20 miles) by keeping the revs up above 2k. It may be pertinent that the car was sitting at idle with the A/C on for over 30 minutes immediatedly before the first shutdown occured. The other two occured at red lights, so I thought maybe battery related. However, I pulled the battery and had it load tested... It is fine (850amps, no issue)... I live in SC and it was over 95 here on Sunday (with humidity to match). But, the car never overheated (coolant temp normal)...
Any help is appreciated... Looking for ideas as to where to start looking...
Mike
