    Exhaust Clamp Size

    I have an AWE exhaust (their resonated front pipes, mid pipe and rear resonators). I am replacing the midpipe muffler section. I need 2 more of these band clamps. What size do I need to get to fit over the AWE front resonators outlet and the AWE midpipe inlet to link them together?

    make sure you get stainless clamps

    are you replacing it with the same AWE center muffler or something else?

    Same AWE center. I just need to know what mm size to get. There is 50, 55, 60, 65 (really expensive) avail. 2.5inches is 63.5mm. Does that mean I need the large $80 ones? 160 for clamps is ridiculous.

    AWE told me that their components inlet and outlets match up with stock exhaust sizes. So, they said the 55mm would work.

    i also bought an ECS x pipe that has 4 55mm (stock size) clamps and i will only need 2. will sell them to you want. just PM me

    It is confusing. I just measured my new AWE mid pipe section inlets. One of the 2.5 inch pipes tappers down to a 2 inch on the inlet. A 55mm (2.16 inch) clamp should be good to go over the 2 inch inlet/outlets.

    Just get the clamps from AWE. I made the mistake of buying clamps on Ebay for my tips. 3 or the 4 tightening nuts sheared off. I got replacements from AWE and have not had further issues.

    These are not the AWS small clamps by themselves. The ones you're talking about are the ones that clamp the tips on along with the midpipe to the rear resonator section. AWE sent me those no problem.

    What I'm speaking of are the pipe connector section where the front resonator pipes meet the mid pipes. It's basically a whole pipe connector assembly with two clamps on it.
