How to install aux or bluetooth? (2005 A4 Bose Audio System)

    Hello,

I have a 2005 Audi A4 (bose audio system, newer body style) and would like to install either AUX input or bluetooth into the receiver. It will be for music so audio quality is important (I don't mind spending the extra cash for quality). Could someone please point me in the right direction?

Picture below is what my receiver looks like..

A fm transmitter is your best bet, plugs into your cigarette lighter, they have Bluetooth and aux ones, start at around 20, you pay for what you get tho so i’d read reviews and pick one at a decent price point.

I am hoping to avoid using an FM transmitter, due to their poor audio quality. But if that's my only option then I will probably end up buying one.

Made for your head unit, a BT aux.

You’ll need to code the aux on your unit via vagcom (vcds)

X3 for Enfig I was also going to link and tell you about them. I have the USB and Aux unit. It was supper easy to hook up and I ran the cables thorugh my ashtray since I don't smoke. I use the USB connect my iPhone and it works perfectly!

the A4 is my son's car, so needless to say I was in the same boat as you. He had to have something more than cd & fm. First I got the Dension USB/Aux unit. Then I got him the simple BT unit. No radio/steering wheel controls, but it was stupid cheap since I already had the first add-on.

For all the Enfig fans out there, does it eliminate any stock components (Sat, CD changer, BT)? And can it be used with retrofitted RNS-E HU using an eBay quadlock harness?

Yes, the simple USB/AUX or BT uses the CD Changer cable. So you would use that. My 17 year old barely knows what cd's are..... :P

My problem is that with the eBay harness I have, I had to remove the individual CD changer pins from the OEM plug and repin them into the adapter harness. So there's no easy way of simply "unplugging" the CD harness to utilize the enfig.
