How much am I looking at to fix rust spots & prevent future issues?

Hey Guys, I have a pretty nasty rock chip that has started to rust, along with rust forming at the bottom of the front wheel wells. Anyone have any idea on how much this would cost to fix? Also, once fixed, are there any solutions to the wheel well issue that don't take away from the look of the car? Basically, I want to avoid mud flaps.

Hood spot - there aren't many others causing issues, so I would try to avoid a whole respray if possible

Wheel wells - both look like this. Seems to have happened after I spaced out my wheels.

On the wheel well, my 2013 and 2016 had a hard plastic that it in that location, I’d order a pair of those and install, I think they are riveted but i’m sure you could source a good adhesive.

On the hood, try to touch it up as best you can.
1-Glue a small piece of sand paper (fine grit) to the eraser end of a pencil to sand down the rust spot. Try to sand down/remove any loose "edges" of the chip
2-Spot paint in some primer with a fine brush. Let dry.
3-Spot paint in some touch up paint. Let dry.
4-Spot paint in some clear coat. Let dry.
5-Wet sand and polish if necessary. Use as little of each product as you can. Nothing worse than a big blob of touch up.
If done right, could look passable but will always be noticeable unless you respray the entire hood.

Awesome, any recommendations on which primer and clear coat to use?

Thank you for this. You think this would be possible with Dr. Color Chip supplies, or should I source elsewhere?

If the hood has a dent I’d have a PDR (paintless dent repair) guy try and smooth it out before you paint. PDR has worked out great for a similar dent I had.

Wow - some great advice here!
I just got my fenders clear bra'd. Not sure if it will last the winter but will give it a go. Those are problem areas in these cars and I've been touching up that spot for a year or so now trying to prevent rust.
    Good luck!

    UPDATE

Got my arsenal ready to go, now I just need a nice weekend to get it done. Any last minute advice? I think I need better/different sanding options, but that should be an easy pickup - any suggestions besides the two dremel attachments I bought?
