Difficult to do? I'm sure the cap + mirror will have to be removed. If you've had it done, what's the going rate?

I've been quoted $250-300 for the trim and caps to be wrapped, I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet.

Yeah don't want the CF caps. I'd also be wary of ordering from them.

That doesn't sound too bad honestly.

It baffles me how the A4 guys want S4 mirrors and the S4 guys want color matched mirrors majority of the time (not to mention the black/A4 window trim). It seems as if it would be easier and cheaper to find someone with the same paint as you and do an even trade imo.

I got mine done and unless they are REALLY good at it, it will peel, IMO. They charged me $40 per mirror which was cheap. Looks great at first but I'll be peeling it off as it looks like crap now. I want just black caps, are the OEM caps all aluminum? I would just paint them if I could but painting al. is something best left to the pros. Powder coating maybe?

Would you really have to take the caps off to wrap them? I would think you could possibly get the vinyl all tucked in around the edges without removing the cap.

I've heard removal is a complete PITA.

I've actually tried that before and didn't have much luck. Not to mention the aluminum S mirrors are worth more.

No chance it would look perfect without taking them off. The big obstacle is getting to the area near the actual mirror.

Not removing them would result in some half ass job. I replaced mine w?CF ones, first one took time and the other side took me 15min. Like any removal and install, the first time take a bit longer to figure it out.
