Did you replace the camshaft position Bank 2 Sensor A or the crank position sensor?

I get similar error P0011 - Camshaft Position (Bank1) Timing over-advanced or system performance - error on my C7-S6 every few months. I went through the same BS with getting the error to come back after flashing to stock. Anyway, I was able to log the error. Took to dealer at 29k on 4-21-16. They replaced N205 valve part 06E-109-257-S, seal ring and bolt under warranty. Flash and fast forward, I still get this error.

FWIW - When starting my car, I let it run a few minutes until idle RPM is below 1k. I then drive easy until RPM light goes above 6k. I only get this error every few months. When it happens, I get the message don't exceed 4k RPM. About 1 minute or so, it goes away and self resets. I have noticed that when my oil gauge is on the high side (near full), I don't get this often. If the oil gauge is below 50%, it occurs more often. I do change my oil every 5k with Liqui Moly.

Impressed to see you got 100k on the S6. I assume everything else on car is good like turbos?

I have been working out of town so I havnt been able to take the car into the shop. Its obvious something that I cannot fix on my own, so Ill bite the bullet and hope its something not to expensive.
I added APR ecu/tcu tune at 50k, so half the life the car been tuned, no real issues besides oil separator that went last summer ~80k
I change the oil around 7-8k with Motul specific with oem oil filter.
I believe next week im local, so ill drop it off. I will double check oil level, see if Im on the low side.
I will update once I know what the problem is.

Update - Somewhat related, I did an engine flush for the first time with BG EPR last month at 58k miles. Drained oil from pan, replaced filter. Added new oil. Started the engine and received P052A - Camshaft Position Timing Over Advanced - Bank 1. Cleared fault. Received 2 more times during first start of the next two days. No faults since then. Possibly some gunk or debris was in screen or a sensor somewhere???

I took my car to an indy shop, looks like the intake actuator sprocket is the issue, the guy doesn’t have the tools to do the job, so now im trying to see what the dealer will charge to replace.
The car still not fixed, good thing I have another vehicle

So Some follow up on my engine problem, the intake camshaft actuator was replaced on the drivers side, while the tech was in there, he replaced both cam actuators, luckily, the engine cradle did not have to be removed to replace
So nice to have my car back.
