1.8T to 2.0T Engine swap advice needed

    Hi,

I have a 2011 1.8T that burning heaps of oil and not covered under warranty to replace the piston rings. I'm looking at doing an engine swap.

My current engine is a CDHB I was wondering if anyone knows what engines would be a direct replacement? looking at getting something 2013 or younger to avoid the piston ring problems.
I would probably buy the entire wrecked car so would be able to salvage the ECU + other parts.

Has anyone done a 1.8 to 2.0 swap? would the newer TFSI engine fit with minimal modification, or simply be plug and go?

any advise would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

The swap will work fine with any of the engines, your issue would be the ECU not liking the cluster and body modules. It would fit probably with the same exact engine mounts and even transmission. At most a mount would need changed, but I doubt it

To the OP, did you do this swap over? Was it successful?

Has anyone swapped out the 1.8T successfully with just a drop in or minor modifications?
