Has anyone replace them? Do you need to remove the entire headlight assembly? Any recommendation on bulbs? Should you replace both left and right bulbs even if only one side went out?

Yes to replacing both. (However, check that it's the bulb and not the ballast by moving the working bulb to the other side).

Driver side bulb can be done without removing the headlight assembly. Just remove the cap, and there's just enough room to change it.
Passenger side bulb requires removal of the entire headlight assembly for replacement. Alternatively you can remove the airbox behind the light. Headlight removal is much easier.

Great! Thanks for the tips. Will swap out the bulbs to see if it’s a bad ballast or bulb. If it is the bulb, what are the options? These are ds3?

There’s not a ton of room behind the drivers side headlamp, especially if you have large hands. I found it easier to remove it so I could see what I was doing and not bump the bulb around too much.

As for souring, you can buy the OEM Philips bulbs from Hyundai through Amazon for a lot less. A few members have had success with this. When I did it, one bulb was incorrect. Caveat emptor.

The passenger side is easy. Remove airbox and it's right there.

The driver's side is tight. You can jack up this corner a bit, then pull back the fender liner in the wheel well just behind the headlight. This will give you enough room to replace the bulb. It is pretty easy.

Otherwise you have to slide the headlight assembly out the front.

I wouldn't pay anyone $10 to do this for me. Get out and DIY!
