    Dodge Hellcat Anyone?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Any of you guys done any pulls against a Hellcat? Went for a ride in one yesterday and it's, as Chris Harris would say, absolutely mental. That much power from the factory is bonkers. What kind of setup would you need to pull on one? 3.0L w/ 770's?

I messed with one a while ago on the highway, no lined up pulls though. He wasn't getting away from me. For reference, here's 40-100mph

I'll let you know next weekend after S4RW. GoPro is coming along, and I'm sure there will be video from the side lines.

I was in a half mile event with 4 of them. I beat all of them in the 1/4 and was faster than two of them in the 1/2 mile trap speed. Within .5 mph of the two faster ones.

^Same here. At Shift S3ctor, my car trapped 155.07mph. The two Hellcats that ran (both modified) ran 150.85 and 155.01. My car has a similar setup to S4James and DieselElectric.

I think our cars would do even better from a second gear roll or even a dig, Hellcats have big issues with traction off the line. They do best at events like the half mile where they can get up to speeds where they aren't traction limited.

4 and 5 in these cars rolls. 3rd and 4th don’t feel much different from each other either.

I'm impressed to hear that your guys k24 cars can hang with them. If your b5 weighs 3300lbs and makes 500 hp that's 6.6 lbs per hp. The hellcat challenger weights 4448 lbs and makes 707 hp so that's 6.28 lbs per hp. Add in the all wheel drive advantage of the b5 and I guess it probably would be close!

I don't think a 500hp (crank rating like the HC) would hang.

We're talking more like 600WHP, which is going to be right around the same CHP as the HC.

no chance a 500CHP s4 will hang with a hellcat.

FWIW, a healthy k04 car on e85 traps right there with a stock Hellcat.

More bench racing, I've got a 60-130 time of 6.9 vs the Hellcats 8.4.

The one coming to RW is modified though, I think. Owner hasn't specified.

I know that, my above 500hp comment was in response to the Audimode comparing crank numbers. I think he was confusing common S4 whp numbers with crank.

I ran into a modified (had to be by the smell from the exhaust) Demon the other week in my B8. It was a massacre. He passed my while spinning. From a roll, I would like to see how my b5 would do, from a dig, you're not touching one.

My brother in law has hellcat and it is a monster to drive. Limited traction even on 325 radials. Launches in second gear and it just spins wheels all the way to 60-70.

Having said that we did a couple of roll races with my 2.7 tial 770 (600ish whp) allroad and we were head to head more or less, maybe I was losing a bit sometimes.

We don't have a good roads here so we couldn't go really fast but I was at an advantage in shifting department because for this kind of roll "race" I only need one gear, sometimes two depending from what speed we start as I can just do the whole thing in 3rd gear already brake boosting while honking :)

Anyway, crazy car and it shows exactly what supercharger can do although let's not even start talking about the displacement of its engine lol.

Those blowers are almost the same displacement as a 2.7 lol, if I'm not mistaken the Hellcat blower is 2.4 liters in capacity.

Yeah, can confirm that these factory freaks are bonkers, ran a few roll races with one in my PJ k04 car and was dusted fairly quickly, however as soon as we hit some curvy backroads the tables turned, those big boats just can't hang in the high speed corners.

It's really cool how far manufacturers are pushing the limits now versus even 10 years ago but I will fondly refuse to drive anything with an automatic transmission even if it's the errmerrgurd DSG tronomatic yada yada yada.

Think he means that’s low for a K04 car on E

Just for fun I'll post up today's fun. I'm in a b7 s4, but still...
All i know is it was a challenger SRT with what sounded like a dsg transmission (based on the farts it emitted upon hard shifting). Kept revving his engine and downshifting next to me. I figured why not. It was head to head until 130 and I left him. What the hell....
