    2013 S7 DYNO Result

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Just put my S7(MY13) on a dynapack dyno with custom tune(let’s say stage1), Ron98 fuel, fourth gear and dyno right after first adjust on ECU mapping.
Mods on car: K&N filter, resonator delete & No TCU tune yet. My tuner still working on seeking higher output for it, not sure if it can go higher thou. I didn’t dyno before, so no stock data to compare.

    525PS on crank/774.9NM

It seems much lower than APR published or others did. Does anyone know run under dynamic mode will get higher output than normal mode? On S7, how to turn off ESP completely ? I tried long push on button but it only shown esp off not like my S5 can also turn ASR off:( Don’t know if it will effect numbers thou.

    yikes, no stock data?
That is the most useful data to compare to your tuned data.
Comparing to other people's dyno results is almost useless....too many different contributing factors to each run/dyno/car/environment etc.
    That being said...
    APR publishes 2 figures:
    at the wheels:
    488 AWHP
    584 AWTQ (ft-lbs)

    at the crank:
    563 HP
    627 TQ (ft-lbs)

Yours I would assume is "wheel" unless they specifically told you they corrected ti to crank figures.
    525 PS = 518 HP
    775 NM = 572 ft-lbs
Which seems fair/comparable to APR numbers.

    No stock data...sadly.
Tuner told me these are crank numbers not wheels.

    That's a shame.
Yeah seems kinda weak then since stock crank 420 HP is widely known to be underrated from Audi and is really closer to 450-480 HP.

If you look at the historical trends of this platform, 9/10 custom tunes are subpar in comparison to the OTS offerings (APR and EPL). I would go with one of those two if you want a great stage 1 experience.

How does it drive? I thought my Revo tune was fantastic when I first got it but after a less than impressive 1/4 time and trap I switched to APR and couldn't be happier. But you've only given post tune Dyno results and your delta is what matters. Maybe it's a low reading Dyno.

After little adjustment, it went to 547PS at crank & 797.9NM so lovely
Still considering the next step, which go first?
Downpipes or cat back exhaust? What’s your opinion?

Changing the cat-back is not going to get you anything. Nowadays, on factory high-performance vehicles, factory exhaust generally outflows anything aftermarket unless you are making obscenely more power than stock, but then you are going to want a custom exhaust that is larger diameter than even aftermarket with high PSI on FI applications. So, if you are looking for a few more horses, downpipes is the only option.

    Thanks for the tips.
I have problems of which downpipes is best & without cel/engine check light.
I read some posts about APR downpipes, if not use spacer than big chance to get cel code.
Maybe AMS is the best to go? But the price is so...high...
