As some of you know, ive done some work on my TTS, lots of weight reduction Wheels, brakes, suspension, race seats, rear seat removal, exhaust, no spare tire etc.

So i had my car on a corner balance scale(s), with 10 gallons fuel she came in at 3120. backed out thats about 3070 sans driver.

what surprised me and gets me think Audis weight numbers are fudged or a dry weight at 3250. Any one weight your stock TTs with a known fuel load?

Published TTS curb weight from Audi USA is 3,241 and with a 10 gallon of gasoline @ 6.2 lbs gallon, add another 62 lbs...so 3,303. If you’re at 3,102 then your reductions was just 201 lbs. I haven’t weighed mine, but would assume swapping out power seats, rear bench, and spare is about this amount already. Curbweightgate? :)

I know the published numbers but wonder if that number is dry or wet weight. I thought i had pulled more that 200 off off the car, granted the roll-bar adds some back.

My '18 TTRS was right at 3400 with a full tank and me (185lbs) in it at the local track. No idea the last time the track last calibrated the scales though, I'm fairly cautious of anything I don't see certificates for having done a lot of metrology myself.

Late night brain fail. My apologies on the thread pollution. Let me know if you happen to be around San Antonio and I'll buy you a beer. Good luck on the weight game!
