I was speaking with someone over at Audi Customer Experience, and they were kind enough to breakdown RS3 production numbers by year (2017 & 2018), and color in the US. It sounds like this wasn't an easy data pull for them, so big thanks to the Audi Customer Experience Center for sharing these numbers.

Thanks for the data - really surprised how unpopular Florett Silver is (only 30???) Even Catalunya Red is more popular. I guess on a car like this most people don't pick a boring color.

It's less than I thought... if they only sold 1200 in the states and 250 in Canada that is quite limited...

I assume it is the opposite in the US since the default is grey here (and actually costs extra money for red). It also makes sense with the Ara Blue since the vast majority I have seen on the internet have grey stitching.

I think for you Americans there was the base configuration of red stitching... you can then configure it with either grey stitch or the design pack... that's my guess.

So when they say black interior, I believe that's the red stitch without rs design

Here the base was Gray Stitching, then there was Red, and then RS Design. So boo, I guess I'm not that special.

Agreed, just confused what the Black & Black w/ Gray, and how they are different, I got the extend leatherette, so I'm wondering if that might be a thing, oh well. Still love the limited run!

My son would LOVE your car. He wanted me to order a Navarro Blue RS3 (or RS5- LOL). I told him that I while I love dark blue cars, my Santorin blue B5 S4 made me decide that it just takes too much work to keep a dark car looking nice. He still wants me to reconsider...

Find it interesting that there are more Nardo Gray cars out there for 2018 compared to any other color since it used to be an Audi exclusive. When looking for a S7 there were only 5 Nardo with Black interiors in 2018 stateside. Makes me wonder what is the point of the 2020 Nardo Edition...

Just picked up a 2018 Nardo Gray with Black Interior with Rock Gray stitching. According to Audicareusa there were 189 produced in this configuration. Strange that the number sent to me doesn't match the OP. They also didn't elaborate on the stitching color like the OP.

the point is you get a cheaper car. a regular nardo configured with the same options in 2020 is somewhere around 2k more.

Audi told me, around September 3, 2020, that there are 120 Catalunya Reds for 2018, and only 27 have the standard interior color (i.e. no RS Design pack).

203 were RED
2 were ROCK GREY
123 ? Black interior but what stitching? (Most likely Rock Grey) Something else parsed the 2 referenced for some reason

I am thinking the Black is the grey stitching without the the RS interior package?? I believe someone mentioned that up above in a post.. That would make sense to me but not sure...

It kind of confuses me too. I have seen about 6 nardo rs3’s in my area and all have red stitching

Not me... I have rock grey and nardo too... essentially your 2018 twin.
