    Best Rotor for EBC Redstuff?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
It's time to replace my front brakes and I am going to go with EBC redstuff pads

What rotors do you guys like?

EBC? Centric? Zimmerman? StopTech? ECS Geomet?

Was thinking of doing dimpled, but maybe staying blank?

    Thanks in advance

if it matters to you..... check all the brands to see if the cooling vanes are side-specific....
... many mfg's use the same casting for both left & right rotors.... therefor, the cooling vanes will inevitably be in the wrong direction on one side of vehicle.....

does it matter? prolly not for the average daily driver.....

also, find out what grade of cast iron is used for the rotor.... 3000 series is common & meets minimum federal standards....

3500 & 4000 have higher iron content & will perform better in extreme use...

i just installed stoptech high-carbon slotted S5 rotors & sport pads on my A5..... so far i am quite pleased.....

dimple or slotted are fine, stay away from drilled for a street application.

    jmho... ymmv....

    OR

(not sure on difference between these 2 slotted ones)

Do you guys w. slotted rotors notice a noise when driving?

my slotted do have a dif sound than a plain rotor, but only when the brakes are applied.
not surprising..... the slots are bound to create a sound signature as they interrupt the pad/rotor interface when in use.....
