2015 SQ5, lower control arm bushings leaking?

I picked up a 2015 SQ5 from carmax and had a PPI inspection done by local Audi dealership. mechanic reported that the bushings are leaking and the control arms (both sides) need to be replaced.

another other Audi dealership did the recalls on it a couple days later and did not note any suspension issues. I asked about what the other dealership said and the service writer said that it doesn't have oil-filed bushings so they couldn't be leaking.

    who's correct here?

    The latter. Bushings don't leak.

There is a hydro mount on the front suspension guide that they could be referring to. Its the arm at the rear of the hub that ties it to the subframe. The arm is part number 8R0407693D and the hydro mount is 8K0407183F if you want to look on a parts diagram to see which part I refer to.

The wishbone runs two rubber bushes which wont leak.

I have seen the hydro mount leak on my SQ5.

    IanSQ5, yup.

I talked to the service manager last night and he had parts look this up. per my VIN#, apparently the curved control arm does have a hydraulic bushing,
    8K0407183D

    it's part 8 here , http://catcar.info/audivw/index.php?...NDA3MDA2MjA%3D

so, now I get to have carmax replace them during the 30-day no-cost warranty.

TBH the parts aren't expensive, it would be the labour strip down that would make the job costly. At least they are doing it under warranty

Yup, Audi quoted $1k to replace both control arms . Carmax is ordering the parts now and will do the repairs when they come in.
