For sale is my 2008 Dolphin Grey Audi A4 Avant S-Line with the rare Titanium package. This is not a car I wanted to ever get rid of, but a friend recently asked if I wanted to buy a car from him that I’ve had my eye on for some time now. As a result, it’s time to part with my beloved Avant. For fans of B7s or Avants in general, this is a truly special car. These Titanium Avants are extremely uncommon, and seldom come up for sale. In my opinion, this is the most attractive wagon Audi has ever made.
I’ve been the owner of this vehicle since the summer of 2016 and I have been thrilled to have it as a daily driver. I’m the fourth owner and purchased it with 86,196 miles. I’ve driven the car almost 30,000 miles in the last two years and it’s never given me any issue. The car was purchased from Coventry Motorcars in Coventry, CT and currently has 118,xxx miles on the odometer. The car is bone stock, has a clean title and CarFax, and does not throw any codes nor illuminate the CEL. It accelerates smoothly and cruises at any speed without drama, and the Tiptronic transmission shifts smoothly through every gear. I regularly drive from southwest Connecticut to Boston, and this car makes the trip an absolute breeze.
This car was well cared for and well maintained over the course of my ownership. Oil changes were always done on time using VW approved Castrol Edge (previously Castrol Syntec, as advised by VW) and the timing belt and thermostat housing were replaced around 87,000 miles by Coventry Motorcars. They also performed all of the maintenance and other work while it was under their one-year warranty. After the warranty expired, the car was taken care of by Butzi Gear and Automotive Restorations, Inc. The brake rotors and pads were replaced last year with OEM parts by Butzi Gear, and the well-known Avant sunroof drain issue has been addressed.
The interior of this car is far and above the condition of most B7s. One of the reasons I purchased this car initially was due to how pristine the interior was, and not much has changed. The black leather seats are immaculate and show no tears or significant wear, the piano black trim is absolutely flawless, and there is no pixel death in any of the displays. The AC blows cold and the heated seats get nice and hot. Everything works beautify and looks just as well. This car has nearly every option available from the factory, including Audi’s premium RNS-E navigation infotainment system, side and rear sunshades, headed seats, push-to-talk, etc. The navigation, CD changer, and SD card readers all work perfectly. I believe the only option this car does not have is the optional Bose speaker system, but the factory sound system still sounds great and has no speaker rattle. The only flaws in the interior are a wear mark on the carpet by the accelerator pedal (where most people place their heel) and some marks on the driver’s side window switch panel.
The exterior is also in excellent shape for a 10-year-old car. There are some minor rock chips here and there, but nothing unusual on most of the vehicle. The rear bumper does have a number of noticeable marks from street parking and could use a re-spray, and there are two other scratches on the quarter panels. Finally, one of the Bi-Xenon headlights needs to be resealed, but the headlight is fully functional and is just as bright as the other. It’s purely a cosmetic issue that does not effect any of its functionality. All of these flaws have been documented in the attached photos. The Titanium wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero all season tires and will also come with a full set of spare winter wheels and snow tires which appear to have 2 seasons worth of tread. With snow tires, this car is better in the snow than any of the SUVs I’ve owned in the past.
I absolutely love this car and will be sad to see it go, but I'm hoping it will go to someone who cares about it as much as I do.
SOLD!
