C7 Air Ride - Anyone blow the 40amp fuse in the trunk?

I'm curious if anyone else has blown the 40 amp fuse in the trunk? My air ride was malfunctioning and I found that the fuse was blown and the wiring connector that connects to the CETE ride controller was burned. Replaced both the connector and fuse, and now the air ride is back to normal.

I'm going to reinstall the CETEv1 controller tomorrow morning but I'm curious if anyone else has had this happen? Possible culprit? The fuse and wiring connector seem to me like a symptom rather than a cause. Audi tech that I consulted with is trying to say it's most likely the ride controller but I have my doubts since it's been working the entire time (wifi network still available) and many people are using this device without a problem.

I was driving the car pretty hard in the corners a few days before but I don't imagine that had much to do with it.

Ground and power wires all look good.

    Thoughts?

Definitely worth rechecking the power and earth connections to make sure they have good contact and are well insulated.

Check the 2 heavy duty power cables going to the compressor as these can get chaffed. They are the ones sucking the power via the relay

Yep found an opening in the power supply wire. Likely from the recent body work where they also replaced the air pump and tank. Car is back to normal again and ready for drags on Saturday. :)
