Interchangeable VW parts for S4

Tried posting to some of the Facebook groups but having no luck...
Does anyone know if parts listed with the same part# in both VW and Audi are 100% interchangeable? Some of the parts have massive pricing differences between VW and Audi (big shocker I know) with matching part #'s, pics look mostly the same and descriptions are mostly the same (but differ sometimes) but I just want to be positive since Im looking into replcing different gaskets for the supercharger, intercoolers, and I dont know if theres different tolerances, materials used etc...

I could save a lot of $$$ ordering through VW but will not take the chance if they are not 100% interchangeable.

I’ve shopped that way in the past on my B6, never had a problem...saved a ton on sensors.

Ironically, I hit something in the road and lost my lower left fog light grille and ordering it through a vw dealer online via part number search saved me roughly $50

Actually you might be able to get most of the engine parts, including 3.0T engine itself from VW, because Touareg hybrid is using the same engine

I pretty much just ordered everything through VW website, ended up being $150 cheaper compared to ECS so well see what happens. Theres enough VW guys around my area that if they wont fit, I can just resell. Ill update here with the results.

Check out Porsche dealers as well. I've ordered Porsche parts for both my S4 and Golf R. Ironically, they can sometimes be cheaper. As long as the parts numbers match, they'll fit.

Was going to say that ! I've ordered a few Porsche parts that ended up being cheaper.. few gaskets, fasteners and even calipers

If its the same part number you should be fine.

Audi stickers are very valuable! Always search for common parts. A good example are O2 sensors. These are often just standard Bosche parts with mfg specific connector. Get the generic one for half the price swap the connectors and $profit$...
