iSweep Brake pads fitment for TTS (and install)

After over a year of looking for a set of replacement low dust daily pads and a set of track pads, I found the iSweep brake pads sold by Neuspeed.

    http://www.neuspeed.com/352/4/0/3568...ads-front.html

Got them installed this morning and they’re a perfect fit! I wish I took pictures throughout, but I was too excited.

I spent a good part of an hour trying to take the pads out without taking off the caliper, finally accepted that I couldn’t.

    Instructions:

    1) remove wheels
    2) use the back end of a hammer (nail puller) to compress the pistons to give yourself some room to work. I pried from the ends of the pad against the rotor, you can only get to the outside pad, but that should give you enough wiggle room.
    3) use a punch (or flathead) to remove the bracket
    4) using a 22mm socket, remove the 2 bolts from the back of the caliper
    5) wiggle the caliper out
    6) remove old pads
    7) clean! I used dawn dish soap to wipe down, and a dry cloth to dry it up
    8) compress inside pistons, I used my thumbs
    9) install pads, take note, there’s 1 pad that the pad sensor connects to on the passenger side
    10) reverse process

I followed some instructions on bedding the pads, hard braking is equal or better to the oem pads and no squealing.

I’ll update later on brake dust.

Ordering IS3000 pads so I can start hitting the track.

Update, is1500’s perform similar to oem pads but with almost non-existent brake dust.

I swapped to the is3000’s a couple of days before a track day, performed great with barely any fade (short circuit/time attack). They squeal, so definitely not made for daily driving.

Any updates on the is1500 for daily use (after your is3000 track swap)? I was looking into similar set up (S3 though).

Is1500’s are great! Very little dust, I even put them through a couple track sessions because I was too lazy to swap them out.

There’s some brake fade, but overall they’re better than OEM.
