    A warning about Carbon Imports

    Just a heads up to those wanting to order from carbon imports. I placed an order with them in February of 2018. I ordered a V1 spoiler and carbon mirrors. After making my payment through PayPal, I received a confirmation email and waited for a tracking number. After three weeks with no notice, I emailed their so called customer service. I sent a few dozen emails over the next week or so with no reply.

    Concerned that it was a scam, I contacted PayPal. Well that got a person from carbon imports to finally reply. A guy named Nave stated that my spoiler was back ordered but my mirrors were being shipped sept ASAP so I would t have to wait any longer. I thought this is something they could have told me and have sent a reply email for the dozen or so emails I sent. Oh well, so I waited again.

    Another week or so goes by and no update and no tracking number. Again I email and email and email for the next three weeks. Nave replies to about 1% of any additional emails, claiming it was sent, that there must be some mistakes or problems with shipping, but he assured me my parts are on the way.

    Three more weeks of waiting, a total of THREE MONTHS I finally get a box from carbon imports. The spoiler seems ok, it’s wbsooworth $179.00. The problem comes with the mirrors. One is for my car that has side assist, and one is for a car WITHOUT side assist! I’m furious, so another few days and emails, Nave gets back to me. He claims this never happens and promises to send out a new one ASAP and compensate me for waiting over three months. Well again he lied, no response no tracking number, no shipping, and more ignored emails this week.

    I suspect that carbon imports is just one guy. That one guy is terrible at customer service and terrible at telling the truth. Too bad, because the spoiler is nice and the mirrors looked gooo too.

    Now I guess I will hope for PayPal to return my money or parts of it, but this was one of my worst experience with a company and wanted you all to be aware.

    Good to know. I ordered a pair of carbon mirrors without side assist over 2 weeks ago and still no tracking information. I emailed them, but have yet to receive a reply. Curious how much longer I will have to wait..

    My experience with Carbon-Designz in Germany was just as bad - they're quality is amazing but terrible customer service, communication and issue resolution. In short, the items I ordered took 3x longer than quoted ETA, the A-pillars I ordered in MATTE finish arrived in gloss and after a dozen emails they said they'd send UPS to pick up the package and send me the corrected version and never did. Wound up having it refinished by an AZer at my expense.

    OP - sorry about your issues you are having with them. Thanks for sharing your experience, I was planning on placing an order for the spoiler as well but will now pass on it due to poor customer service.

    Don't these small companies realize that customer service is IMPERATIVE to their survival? Threads like this kill them...and deservingly so.

    Thanks for the review. Was considering a diffuser from them.

    I got my diffuser through Carbon Imports. The time that it took from when I ordered to the time when it actually shipped was longer than I expected or hoped for. Ultimately though, I received responses in a sensible amount of time from Nave. I had plenty of fitment issues with the product, and when I mentioned the issues he tossed a $30 or $35 refund to my card without me asking. I would by no means rant and rave about the experience as a whole, but considering I was dealing with an item being shipped internationally I didn't feel like I was getting screwed around with.

    It sucks your experience hasn't been that great. I would agree that Nave may need some help, as it seems he's the only one running the show there. I think it would be helpful is he could provide a little more insight into the entire process and why some of these delays occur. For me, I would certainly order through him again, but after my first experience I would likely go in with lower expectations than I had my first go-around. I'm the kind of person who checks the status of my order every hour until I see something ship out. My diff didn't ship out for several weeks. Had I just stopped checking the status of my own order constantly, I probably wouldn't have driven myself nuts like I did. So, in the future if I do business with C/I, I'll just have to remind myself to ignore my order and be patient.

    I'm early in on my order for a rear spoiler.

    But a bid to get tracking information was met with silence.

    My pet peeve in life is a lack of response. I'd rather be told of a lengthy wait than nothing at all.

    It has been super frustrating, dealing with carbon imports and Nave. I understand that shipping from China can take a while, but Nave's lake of response, and lack of caring is what drives me absolutely crazy. Carbon imports does not have a phone number listed for a reason, as there is no customer service.

    So after waiting months, getting the run around, being lied to, and finally being delivered the wrong parts, Nave is now not responding to PayPal! He's even ducking them, making me situation worse and dragging it on longer.

    I had requested he refund the money for my mirrors only, and pay the return shipping on the mirrors. I don't see that as unreasonable. They sent the wrong mirrors.

    But again, they or he just ignores requests and emails. I'm assuming he thinks the problem will just go away if he ignores it.

    Good luck to all those who continue to deal with carbon imports.

    +1 I was ready to order a few diffusers for us in the Audi group and they never responded... and we are local to carbon imports, lol

    Phone number probably wouldn't help you... we had his local number and he didn't respond to us as well... might as well not have a number at all... or business for that matter... too bad as his stuff looks good and he sounded like a nice guy... I suspect this is a side gig for him and he's too occupied with other things which is fine and all just don't waste people's time.

    Completely agree with you @chargedsix, i've known Nav personally from a few meets locally for almost two years now, a very nice guy he started this off as a side job to get some parts out at an affordable price and now the demand has gone crazy they are struggling to keep up with it, the last conversation i had i know he's been looking for people to expand and keep up with the service as he's the only one running the company . Adam i reached out to him about whats going with your order knowing Nave i know this will get solved in your favour which ever way you want it..i'll suggest to him they should have a rep in audizine to deal with any questions or issues directly as that would benefit alot but hey i know a ton of people with his products who are extremely satisfied so I'm 100% sure you have nothing to worry about

    In fairness, I think I should mention I received an email this afternoon to inform me the spoiler would be shipping Monday.

    If that goes ahead, then the turnaround will have been quite reasonable.

    I'll update my own situation on Monday.

    So to give an update to all, after promises not kept, deliveries made wrong, and three months of waiting, and after contacting PayPal I did get an email today. I offer all an opportunity to read what was written to me, and make up their minds on their own for using carbon imports in the future. I personally am accepting the refund offer, and will wait until Monday for shipping for the correct mirror. I'm taking a gamble at this point, as after this point, I am out of the customer service protection given by PayPal.

    "Hey Adam,

    I do apologize for the huge delay in response. I understand you did receive the wrong mirror cover with your set. We are working to produce another mirror and send it out to you asap, we did suggest we would have one out by Monday but that was not possible. If you do want the full refund you asked for, if you can forward the parts

    Being left in the dark with the status an order you make is inexcusable. A great way to lose further business. They take your money right away though, correct?

    Any competent business checks their emails daily. They choose not to respond when there's a problem & that's frustrating for a buyer.

    Similar experience. It took a month to get them and then once I got them . They where damage . The fit isn’t perfect . But hey we also have to take in note that something isn’t gonna be perfect . For the price and compared to ECS ... it’s what ever . Once these fade or get damage I’ll just buy them of a reliable place .

    If you have no response, and no tracking number, I suspect it's not processed and not going to be arriving anytime soon. I had a tracking number and kept checking for weeks, and it had no movement. When it finally did show movement, it took another 2 weeks to get to my state, and two more days to ship to my home.

    It's a very long process especially when the company doesn't respond.

    Monday came and went for me too without the promised tracking number.

    I like to give everyone the benefit of doubt and maybe he's simply overwhelmed. I recall a similar situation for many with a certain type of intake a while back.

    That said, I'm going to cancel and inform PayPal accordingly, in my case I value transparency a bit more than the value of this.

    Damn that sucks, I got some carbon mirrors from them and they were at my door step the following week. My experience was good. I guess its a misfortune that it happens

    Any updates? Curious what has transpired. I’ve emailed Nave a few more times and received zero response... surprise surprise. Will be relocating for work in the very near future, so debating on cancelling.

    Apologies, I meant to start a new thread with just my experience.

    After the 2 week period, and as previously mentioned, I received a tracking number. I was a little dubious and did mention I might visit PayPal however Nave advised tracking info should update shortly.

    Coming from China, I built in a 14 day window from tracking mentally but, by the Saturday, 2 or 3 days after it was in my hands. Good condition and now fitted.

    My suspicion is that popularity has overtaken, and frankly looking at multiple vendors for a carbon diffuser who have big delays, I'm not surprised.

    So my summary. Great product and the squeaky wheel gets the oil if you get my jist.

    Just got my high kick carbon fiber spoiler and mirror caps. Both products are damaged. Spoiler is cracked on the front seam and the driver side mirror is signicantly scratched on top. Sent them an email but I’m not expecting to hear back. IMG_1320.jpg

    My mirror caps came scratched up as well. I contacted him through Instagram and he replied a week later. It seems like he’s over his capacity of for filling orders. After couple messages back and forward he told me he was going to replace my mirrors once he got his stock back up. I don’t have any hopes of getting any newer mirrors from him. But if they come great.

    I think a bunch of us got the same experience. Waited a long time with little to no communication. Got them, and they are actually ok still. However, the carbon clear is not holding up as well, may have them sanded and re cleared eventually.
